I can't seem to get that "choked" sound. When I lay my left hand over the strings, should I be pressing down pretty hard? Also my hands are really small, maybe I just can't get enough leverage over the strings? Anyone who can help would be much appreciated! :)

with the hand that is on the neck of the guitar put your fingures on the guitar strings but dont press against them and the guitar is silenced! ;) lol it took me ages to figure it out!!!

I am a beginner and i am having a lot of trouble playing my guitar, AND my guitar is tuned! So i don't know what is wrong with my guitar. If only i was already a pro at it, but i am good at the piano,does that count? Well i guess not, i wish it did.I LOVE my guitar!
