No. Less than a key lower.

Paul Simon often tuned about a 1/4 key below standard tuning, and he capoed 2nd fret on this song.

I used to go out of my mind trying to play along to S&G in correct tuning on some songs.

Anyway, if you capo 2nd fret, you'll be a little higher than the original, and if you capo 1st fret you'll be a little lower.

well, they changed through the years too. I have seen them play it with a capo at the second fret too. Keep in mind not everyone has the same vocal range and there is no sin in playing something in the key that fits your own personal range. I play a lot of John Denver but I'm not a tenor. So I put his songs in keys that work for me.
