When he first debuted in 2007 before his first album dropped, he was THE rapper. Same could be said with Wiz Khalifa. The only person who has managed to stay on top and signed to a label is Nicki Minaj. And I think Nicki's done a good job of being able to bounce between pop and hip-hop.
