It's just what the boiler was at the time. The valve was barely cracked, so I'm not sure what pressure I was actually sending to the engine. The boiler is a Cornish Boiler I built myself the summer of 2007 out of 4" and 2" steel pipe. A Cornish boiler is a tube in a tube design where the flame is in the inner tube and therefore "inside" the water.
Nothing really. I just wanted to run my steam engines on actual steam instead of compressed air that most people run these toys on. I'm still working out what the next project will be, but I'm leaning towards a steam whistle.
did this cost you 40 dollars im trying to figure out if there selling the machined version

It's been a long time ago, but I think the machined version was about $60. It sounds more likely the $40 is for the casting kit.

That sounds like a very interesting boiler :-) What do you usually use it for?
