I go to school with a girl that has the same disability they have a special class for her and there are other students who have down to. But they still eat lunch with the rest of the kids. She is really nice every day she says ' Hi how you been?" and she jerks like this.she is a nice person so to all you people on here stop saying get over it! If they are to be part of open society, we need them integrated somewhat; special classes instead of special schools. This means that normal kids get early exposure to them, so that they become more aware of tards, less uncomfortable around them, and so that they are demystified. The tards benefit by getting exposure to real world settings early on.

i agree that a kid with dissabilities should go to a special school, not with normal kids, my nephew was bitten by a down kid in a kindergarden, ovbiously this kids need special atention...

@hadaneva Should we just lock them away so no one has to look at them like we did not too many years ago? If they are to be part of open society, we need them integrated somewhat; special classes instead of special schools. This means that normal kids get early exposure to them, so that they become more aware of tards, less uncomfortable around them, and so that they are demystified. The tards benefit by getting exposure to real world settings early on.

And to just write them off and stick them in an envorment that makes them feel as though they are less then other children is wrong. I am Autistic, and I have been made fun of countless times for my quirks. If the student he was making fun of was my child, that teacher better believe that I would be extremely angry. Also, regardless of the fact if he was really making fun of a student or not, he absolutely deserved to be fired. This is true regardless of how bad his behavior is. This teacher was just another example of the many educators corrupting our youth today.

This is mostly because the parents of retards are in denial that their kid is all that different, so they force them to go to school. The result is the other students being introduced to disease from saliva by drooling, and EXTREME distraction.

It doesn't even make a huge difference whether he was making fun of a particular child in the school or just of disabled people in general, a teacher who does this in front of a classroom is modelling terrible attitudes and behaviour. Kids can't grow up to respect others if their teacher doesn't have the balls to be an adult, but needs to clown around like one of the kids. He behaved unprofessionally, he resigned. Fair enough.
