  • Just wonderful....I sure miss the 60's! Down with rap crap

  • @dahur Yes.

  • he is a great guitar player

  • If I didn't know better, I would think that Richard Hammond was a reincarnation of Gerry Marsden...

  • great

  • am I mistaken or did Gerry (on Don't let The Sun) switch the lyrics around a bit? see Verse one. he sounds like George when he speaks. probably came from the same neighborhood. One of the most stirring pop songs of all time...

  • How can 3 people, or anyone, not like this?

  • jimmy savile keeps shouting 'the shadows'.

  • sigh....

  • I feel really sorry for anyone who didn't grow up through the 60s and 70s.

  • He,s still hale and hearty.Saw him last night with the pacemakers in Canterbury, great show, great voice, and he has a full gig list for this year including Oz and New Zealand

  • Gerry is NOT dead...he's still touring soing his old hits.!! and is always a gentleman and a jokester!! ^/^

  • RIP Gerry , thanks for your music.

  • @CentinelThe RIP? Gerry Marsden's not dead, is he? unless hen died in the last few days.

  • @raynarks It's not stated on his website. Since they have a Pacemakers tour coming I think they would announce it if it were true.

  • Liiiiiiiiiverpool!!!!!!!! Liverpool. F.C YNWA

  • I like it...lol

  • live and raw,as good music should be

  • live in the 60s heaven

  • so many beatles groops

  • 'ello! 'ello muuther!

  • You'll never walk alone. A Liverpool Lad.

  • Always loved this band. Great!!

  • Gerry was a good friend of the Beatles and according to some books, stood in for Paul or John when they were unavailable for gigs. I wonder how things would have sounded if he had become a permanent member of the Beatles. Better, worse?

  • And they did it "live" and in matching suits! Class, class, CLASS! "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cryin" rhythmically somehow reminds me of The Beach Boys' "She Knows Me", two of my favorite songs by two of my favorite bands. So glad I was old enough (12-years old in 1964) to have been able to enjoy the "British Invasion". And you know what? I STILL do! Cheers all!

  • u rock nyrainbow2,U ROCK

  • Thanks for the quality

  • Does anybody know is there on you tube or otheer sites the whole version of THIS award 64m not in pieces, but with the beginnin'?

  • You know what this is the best NME video I have seen, pictures clear and sound perfect, compare to what I have seen earlier this is the best!

  • See this guy in Hong Kong 4 years ago, still very funny sing well, enjoy their performance!!

  • love all this stuff nyrainbows got,ty.

  • i like the way u let me in when u mum isnt there,...those early rockers always had a sexual undertone...!!!

  • beatles outperformed by many at these awards.......fantastic gerry and the p,s.......always a great act

  • love the energy on these live videos...one of my favourite bands

  • one of the best brit beat vocalists!

  • love the way he still sounds scouse when he sings lol

  • akovia is right shite today. the old ways the best. everything is made cheap today jerry and pacemakers don't let the sun catch you crying great! also nice video

  • Gerry is a prince among men!!!!

  • this is awesome.60-s are the best. This time is bad...Peace people

  • At least they've got instuments..unlike the dancing and computerized shit that passes for pop music today!!!

  • funny way to play th guitar

  • professionalism. showmanship. In 1964 they were huge, just behind the Beatles.

  • @corkpopfrance Light years behind musically though. But i do like the Pacemakers.

  • @corkpopfrance only reason he was just behind the beatles was because of their manager.

  • @corkpopfrance

In fact, when the Beatles cracked America, Gerry was bigger in the UK than they were!

I might have been at this concert...I did attend two NME poll winners concerts, the first was at the Royal Albert Hall, and the second was the first one held at Wembley.

  • Who does he keep saying hello to?

  • All his fans in the audience who are goin nuts.

  • "I LIKE IT I LIKE IT ;)

  • His pauses between lines were legendary, and he sang the "Style"

    like few others.

  • They had very much of the same style as The Beatles at the same time. Not the harmonys though. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Once opon a time, this band and The Beatles ruled the area in and around Liverpool.

  • Amazing how well they performed live. The songs were sung so well and they didn't sound much different from the reocrded version.

  • I like the way he talks.

  • The way he talks sounds so pretty. :)

  • I love the pacemakers!

I love Les, my sis loves Gerry, and we're 18 ;D I admire them, terribly much!

  • This clip and the Kathy Kirby one are my favorites.

I have watched both a dozen times.

Black & White seems to add a nostalgic element which is great in a age of slick productions

  • Awesome band, awesome live performance here!

wish we had music like this in 60's now!

    tis fucking shite now days

  • I saw gerry a few months ago live at Santa Monica Pier, CA. I was very impressed and became a fan since then. He is so happy on stage with a bright glow around him. He sang so good and has such a beautiful voice, and made me feel very good. I wish I discovered him earlier. I love how he talks and he is so funloving and professional and he did a variety of songs. The Tremeloes did some songs with him and their voices were beautiful with orignal harmonies.

  • "dont let the sun catch you crying" is one of my fav songs

  • great concert!!!!!!!!

  • f*cking brilliant 60's stuff. Whoever posted this deserves a medal.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Gerry is still performing to sell out crowds all over the world, when he's not playing golf in Spain. If you get the chance to go see him,do. The songs sound as good today as they did 40 years ago.

  • Ya Gerry and the Pacemakers,a dreat happy group,i allways thought that Gerry had a strain in his voice but he obviously coped with it very well,on there travells they made Liverpool and Briton very proud.

  • At the height of the british invasion...one of its best exponents...the royal Pacemakers!

    Long live the British Invasion!!!!

  • Great performance! They had some really great tunes that epitomized the Mersey sound. And I love Gerry's speaking voice, so Liverpudlian.

  • Classic !

  • This is a classic live performance by one of the best 60's bands. They these bands of today look sad.
