I think the main reason a lot of people dislike him is because he uses [essentially] the SAME exact blues pentatonic licks in EVERY review of pedals and amps he does. At least, that's why I dislike him.

Our family dentist is there on Queen St. It's a hell of a drive from West Hill but one the dentists is a personal friend. I live beside his mother. As my wife and I go often, either for ourselves or to take the grandkids, I'd like to visit L & M if there is one there.

these videos are always so static. i would even pay 5 bucks to see a demo where some guy spends 15 mins going over every style of guitar playing, with pedals. i get that its a blues STYLE amp, but why cant we get some chord progressions, some riffs, some funky stuff and not double stops played with your fingers?

This is a great amp, the overdrive kinda reminds me of Hiwatt for some reason. Its a pitty they are so expensive here in Europe, its alot more than a jvm410 combofor example, but there is more handwiring in this gem. I guess its the age old thing of, in Europe you want the Fender sound and in America you want the vox/marshall sound.

man, i don't know what it is about their recording, but they always manage to suck everything good out of the tones of even nice amps. it's so sterile! maybe it's the room's acoustics or the way they mic it, i dunno. comparing the sounds of pgs's demos of fender amps to these though, they're definitely doing something wrong.

Wow, I bought this amp a while ago and absolutely love it, especially the great overdrive channel, but I think if I had heard this review before hand it would have really deterred me from buying it!

If anyone is surfing demos for a deciding factor, listen to Greg Koch demo this thing! He plays it like it was meant to be played, not all nasally. Seems like this guy searched for EQ settings that make this amp sound like crap!

Anybody else notice how he EQs the gain channel at first, (4:37)? He puts the middle at 10, the treble at 7, and rolls the bass down to 4. I think even my little sister would know how terrible thats going to sound.

He's probably playing the same licks on purpose. That way you can compare the amps and decide what is best. One thing to remember: If the Guitar is set up right it will sound good and be easier to play.

this dude is a good guitar player but i think fender needs a new tester for their demos. this guy favors all the clean mellow stuff. when he tests the gain up sounds he wont play enough to interest most fans of the rock and metal players. my friend has a fender amp. he isnt that good but i tried it out and after messing around some i got some deep crunchy sounds of that thing si this guy should really delve further into fender amp possibilities

I bought this amp (head) and I have to say I really love it. You have to try it to see how much control you have with just the two gain knobs. It's a VERY versatile amp. The vibrolux channel is indeed very clear and even crisp, but I don't use it too much... the Bassman channel is so rich you just don't feel like using the other one. I play classic rock but I sometimes fool around with my heavier influences and this delivers the goods BIG TIME. You have to try one before you buy anything else!

I had this amp for about a week. I will admit that the distortion side of the amp is really nice, however the clean channel I was not happy with. Its like an ice pick the highs are way to harsh. I even turned the treble down to like 1 and it was overbearing. If they could join the smooth clean of the twin reverb with that distortion channel then fender would get it right.
