The blue 'glow' is the same 'glow' that Dante's devil trigger gives off. With that logic in mind, Nero's demon is red with a purple glow; it's just that his spiritual aura appears to be blue, since it's ghostlike.

And every Ninja theory game I have played has been pretty shitty. The stories never flow and usually have weak and diappointing conclusions. Graphicwise, yeah they're pretty good, but that's the highest praise they deserve.
