As someone who can't afford much food in American, knowing that there are MILLIONS of truly homeless, with a large portion of them being military vets, I say that the first responder is flat wrong.
I'm so sick of these of these economic illiterates who don't have the faintest idea what they are talking about. 95% of Americans pay their mortgages. Real individuals wages have gone up since the 70s.
The housing crisis was created because of Big Government promising to back up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which incentivized lenders to lend to people regardless of pay.
To suggest people cannot afford food in America is laughable.
