I can imagine b/c it has to be forceful enough & constant in order to break up the secretions. I better start doing some arm pumps! ha ha!

yes but it doesn't hurt them! the cup just uses vibrations to break it up, not the force. some RT at the hospital she was admitted at would do it REALLY hard and make her scream. the popping noise was so loud too! i was sad. i told them to stop. :( she doesn't mind them.

Oh, I know hun!:P I know that it doesn't hurt her otherwise she would be screaming or crying. To me, it looks like she's enjoying it like a massage. She's soooo cute!! Ohhhh, so it's the vibrations that break it up not the tapping.Thank you for informing me. Now I will know about this for when the time comes when I have to do this for AG.;)

It really does help a lot with moving the secretions. It burns your arms REALLY BAD!
