thanks for your comments and support. I have never asked for thanks, but it's nice to receive it. I always say to those who thank me. "you're more than welcome, it was my honor and my pleasure" I feel the military turned my life around. I was 19, living in detroit when I joined. I don't know where I'd be had I not. I wouldn't trade my time in the Navy for anything. and I think that my feelings about this are pretty common in reguards to service. Thanks to everyone for the support of the troops.

This is a great tribute. As a retired Sailor, I feel that I should say to those people that question why we serve, or that we should think of ourselves. Really, I served out of a sense of pride. Doing what many people past and present have done.... served. Sometimes giving the ultimate sacrifice. We serve whoever is in office. We don't like allot of the things that go on, but we serve. And thanks to service men and women past, present and future. This great country will continue to be free.
