@DOHC2L The dems controlled Congress for the first term of Reagan. During his 2nd term he had control over the senate.
That said, I hope you understand that the president can veto legislation passed in Congress... No excuse.

Ron Paul is dishonest when he says there's no differences between Republicans and Democrats. Ron Paul is deceiving you when he compares Republicans in power like Democrats in power. Yes Reagan ran up the debt, he also rebuilt the military - that triggered an 'arms race' with the Soviet Union - that bankrupted the USSR - Reagan won the Cold War. That was his plan for defeating the Soviet Union, he devised the entire strategy during the 1960's - 70's. Reagan's debt was not wasted spending...

That's totally dishonest. Democrats controlled Congress and the Democrats created the Dept of Education and the Democrats wrote all the laws that "bloated" the Dept of Education. Reagan cut taxes and fixed the economy, then he won the Cold War. Compared to that those reasons you give for criticizing Ronald Reagan is petty and unwarranted.
