Hes the reincarnation of Larry Bird, except black! Who else has a body like that with unlimited shooting range? Not as good of a passer or rebounder as bird, but has more athleticism so the potential is definitely there. All he has to do is bulk up a little and toughen up his game.
My favorite part of Kevin Durant is how he gives a ton of credit to his team and he's sincere about it. I mean he's no self centered dbag like some other NBA players...

I think Durant reminds me of Nowitzki in the fact that they aren't the typical basketball player. Nowitzki is a 7 footer who can shoot from anywhere, while Durant is a 6'9'' who although barely has muscle compared to others in the league....but can still lead the league in scoring.
even tho KD is listed as 6'9 he is probably closer to 6'10 or maybe even 6'11 i remember he was standing next to Dwight and they looked like the same height

I also think as Harded, Westbrook and Serge Ibaka develop offensively it will cut into Durant's averages to where he levels off at around 27 per game for his career. It already began to happen last year as Westbrooks average jumped to 22 per game.

Durant has to work on passing when doubled and make the smart pass, work on shot selection in clutch decisions (he is a underrated clutch player he is good but he could be better), and use his length more to be a great defender, and although he has gotten stronger since coming in the league in a few years getting a little stronger would do wonders for him later in his career i can see him getting in a build similiar to kevin garnett when he is not as athletic.

When you have a teammate who can score like Kevin Durant, you really shouldn't be trying so hard to score. I think people are being too critical of Westbrook though. He's only 22 years old. @rullah28 But they got to the Western Conference Finals.. 4 out of 5 of their best players are younger than 23 years old. I knew someone would bash Westbrook but he is a really good player. He does need to pass the ball around a little more but I think he will. Just needs more experience.

@lasoogneypubes they would if westbrook was a better point guard. he likes scoring then he does passing. he reminds me of kobe back when the lakers try to win their second champion with shaq. he wanted to do everything to win for his team except share the ball. the only way they would win is if westbrook stars sharing the ball more. he is the point guard so most of the time he has the ball. the point guard runs the court. if he doesn't run the court right the team would play sloppy.

@zmennine I totally agree. I think Westbrook is a great player but he needs to learn to be a point guard first. When you have a teammate who can score like Kevin Durant, you really shouldn't be trying so hard to score. I think people are being too critical of Westbrook though. He's only 22 years old. He's going to get a lot better and trading him would be a ridiculous mistake. I think chemistry will keep developing with the team and Westbrook will mature into a great point guard.
