Skates give the LEAST contribution to speed and endurance....but they do contribute, and if you didn't have the brains to get the best rig and fit them and tune 'em up perfectly to the track or course, then your performance is going to suffer. Every part of the performance equation is a fraction of the equation. "Putting it all together" is all part of your knowledge and experience base. And that is in any highly technical sport.(ex ScreamingRubber)
Okay, Luigino is a really good company, but so is Bont. I'm on the '09 Luigino Challenges and they rock but I think the Bont Sniper frame is the best frame I've ever had. Why does it matter which brand is better anyways? Not like the people who sell for them care so you people shouldn't! Their sponsored skaters don't try to kill eachother or anything so it shouldn't matter!

Don't think I agree,Bont is a complete company that makes top of the line boots that are made in 1 piece and could be 2 pt or 3pt, then they make some of the best frames, check out their 3pt magnesuim S-Frames and their 2pt Sniper Avo 4 frames, they are the best, and like if that was not enaugh they make some of the best wheels, like their Highroller and Crossover series, so to be honest Luigimo doens't come close to Bont.
Luigimo it's also known to be one of the companys that have some of the worst customer service in the industry, I keep hearing from fellow skaters that oder boots from Luigimo that receaved totally messed up boots and Luigimo give them no answer, while every skater I know that does Bont swears by it like a fanatic, must be for a reason, so I take Bont over Luigimo any time of the day
I disagree with your decision to stick by Bont. I don't know much about Luigino's customer service, but there are plenty of speed skating companies out there that have proven to have terrible customer service cough ALLSPORTS cough MPC cough. Il Peloton delivers products from plenty of companies, and delivers them almost instantly. My coach despises Bont, because he's seen the boots just fall apart very quickly. I personally prefer Luigino. I have the 09 pink Stings and they work wonders for me.
