I'm member of the metairie Police department.I was working after Katrina and we along with nationa Gaurd, Marines and Air force personnel were givin permision to enter stores,retrieve suplies for ourselves and people trapped in new orleans, metairie, kenner, and the west bank. How do you think the people in the dome survived before Red cross got there. theres a differance in people that are looting for survival like a mom getting formula for her baby and the guy runnin down the street with a TV

I lived through four hurricanes and during them the police were arresting people without cause.
Shooting dogs and seperating people from their pets and killing the ones they encountered loose on the streets.
I learned when the cops come knocking on your door during a hurricane.
Don't answer it or respoind to them or you will go to jail.
Managed to keep my dog from them the whole time I lived there.
Thank God I never have to live there anymore.

Possibly the man in the t-shirt was a looter and that was evidence,or he was the owner of the property and they were doing a post storm inpection during which they carried out some stuff to the curb very much like other bundles of surviving items on the curb, maybe even a gift of supplies (looked like a bundle of paper towels or plates to me) for the releif effort. Or they were looting with a friend or plainclothed officer.

First of all he wasnt stealing from the convenience store. He had a box in his hand and it came from what looked to be a garage of factory NEXT TO THE MARKET.
How do you know he didnt take that box from the civilian next to him? And technically, the box wasnt removed from the property, wasnt put into a car and driven off, and was not visible at the start or end of the video.
Too many unknowns in this video to be able to claim it was a cop looting a store.

There where numerous eyewitnesses that reported the crimes the police committed. The problem is, we live in a society where police have a "us against them" attitude.
