I used to have a 500 yamaha vmax, i remember racing him from a dig countless times and smoking him up to 130ish km/h... and thats on a 500. :/ my 800 vmax4 with light mods would rape that car now, as would your hemi. @springgardenranch71 no its all heavy parts because yamaha doesn't know how to make a lightweight sled, i have reviewed ever ysled from 2011 and to mee it seems obvious that Skidoo beats the competition i have compared all years too and Skidoo may not have always been the best but they are better in this case HP differences are always an issue. Turbo for one sled may not have the same effect on every sled, you need to keep 2 stock sleds and race them, with no differences!

congrats yamaha. you have successfully built the heaviest snowmobile on the market for the 100th time. anyone can make a fast sled if they don't care about the weight.. how hard would it be to put a bullet bike engine in your snowmobile when that engine has proven to be amazing. for skidoo to build a custom engine for that specific sled and then perform above the yamah, that just shows the technology and advancements of bombardier, which is clearly proof why skidoo is unmatched by all

They're innovative! Look at their stuff and how much thought is put into their products (not just sleds). Look at what they did with 2-strokes.. The new 800 ETEC engines are much quieter, don't smoke, and are much lighter and just as powerful as 4-strokes.

@SilverHawkk I agree that I like my Rev better than my Yamaha Nytro XTX for handling but the Yamaha is neat to. You should ride one and see what I mean. Still, my rev is easier to steer, is lighter and seems to have a better setup than the Yamaha. But, when I fire the Yamaha up I can feel what the engineers have accomplished...they put a crotch rocket motor in a sled and somehow made that work and that is cool. My friend Daniel worked on the Rev platform and he and we know it is amazing.
