Go to the throttlelock instalation folder using ACtiveSync and delete lockcode.txt. You'll be asked for a new pattern when you softreset your device ;).

how do i set throttle lock so when i press the power button it will jus pop up and have me put in my pattern...when i press the power button it jus takes me to my today screen but doesnt ask me for my patter...

The default pattern is the top left dot. Just press that one to change the pattern.
