haha i wish you could write the words down because im having troubles knowing what you're saying (sorry!) the video was "pure dead brilliant by the way"
oh goodness... i am SOOOO movin to scotland. (and not just cuz the guys) i love the culture, the music (yes even bag pipes :P) , the scenery, and of course THE ACCENTS!! anyone knows of an inexpensive place out there let me know!! BUT i dont want to be near touristy places. lol PLEASE AND THANKS!!
3:07 "go down by the loch, the lake" i was like OHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! i'm such an idiot!!!! i can't believe i never made the connection. loch is lake oh my goodness. wow.
doss is a word from perthshire, and youve never heard of it because you probably never set a foot outside Glasgow.. Proffessionals?? on my previous channel i was making these translation video's before everyone except for 2 over 3 years ago... proffessionals? thats a laugh.. get a grip man.. ;)
I think the Scottish accent is one of the sexiest! :) I'm going up to Ben Nevis soon! You should try doing the London cockney accent, the english don't all talk posh haha :) x
You are just too cute for words!! *smile* There is something so darn sexy about the Scottish accent! I want to marry Gerard Butler!! (because you are too young ;-) Thanks for the translations... however I still didn't understand half of it! haha
@AlabamaWhurley Ahh..I agree. I don't know if its cause I'm American, but Scottish or English accents are ridiculously sexy. They have me weak at the knees. Time for a visit to my homeland I think..
I really liked this video ... I wanted to ask: do all Scottish people have thick accents? I'm moving to a town near Edinburgh in two weeks and I'm really scared that I won't be able to understand a thing... do teachers in schools have accents (in general)? Btw, it's not that I want to dis the accent, I actually find it sexy. xD
sure, Travis, The Corries, Runrig, AC/DC (technicly austrailian but they all had scots in thier families, parents etc, and bon scott was from kirriemuir in scotland) Deacon blue (am not a fan tho) Simple minds... cant think of any more decent ones right now.. oh yeah and the fratellies..
They were in order - :- Rudderless, Drug Buddy, and lastly,The turnpike down, all by the Lemonheads from the album It's a shame about Ray... and i agree.. beautiful songs..
aber is river, dun means a site of an ancient fort/hill fort, blair is an ancient scots word for a battle site, strath os a valley, and quhen is scots for when.
That said they do form place names, but the place names came from these words, not the other way round.
aber, dun, blair, strath, quhen aren't words they are places, but yeah i have more words and you named acouple, and yes i COULD have done whqt an american MIGHT do, but am not American ;).. thanks anyway for the criticism and comment... cheers big ears!

Nice 'English' accent, although you could have done what the Americans do and just put subtitles. lol
