I think the reason that the iPlayer isn't on the 360 is more an issue of control. With the Wii and PS3 both having an internet browser, the console is inherently open to the service. The 360 would have to have a dedicated app, and Microsoft have made it obvious that they want to try and control the service as much as possible, despite it being someone else's software that THEY should be asking for.

The MP3 is going to kill quality. If bigger hard drives come around cheaply for PCs and mobile devices I'm takjing > 10TB) before we go competely MP3 maybe we can destroy the MP3 and switch to losless codecs pr even WAV as 50MB a song doesn't sound so bad when your iPod has a 10 TeraByte SSD in it.
