Laptops have LCD screens.

O-LED is supposed to use less than LCD.

@ytuber28341 Electronic paper uses ink, whereas LCD uses light. E paper is more readable in direct sunlight than LCD and it only uses power when the contents of the screen change.

I guess and hope these gadets will be widely used in lets say about 10 years, but I doubt it will replace the book, many people,including me, love just the way a book "feels". On the other hand, I never held e-paper in my hands so maybe I better be quiet...

I hope this eventually becomes integrated to schools, so that students won't have to take multiple books for their subjects, just one tablet-type gadget. The textbooks can then be synced with the admin computers before handing out to the students

Um, why do they need to have e-money. Dont we already sort of have that? They're called credit and debit cards.

We could add this technology to the debit cards to show how much money we have in our checking account at all times. I know we can always check it online, but it would be great if I could just check my pocket as if it were paper money.

The only disadvantage I see is that you would need to resynchronize you card every time you deposit money or make an online transaction.
