autotunes been around in some shape or form since the 80s. lil wayne, kanye, t-paine etc, just made it more known because they change the settings so theres a delay on the retuning of their voices which gives that robot sound. have you ever heard blink 182 live? tom is the worst singer ever. but on the recording the autotune his voice to whatever key the songs in to make it sound nice. adams a good singer, but all musicians polish up their recordings with autotune to make it perfect.
