Michael used make up to cover up the blotted stops on his body, how it got so light I don't know. But I've actually seen his legs and people with vitiligo and it looks gross. They can only be obtained by prescription specifically for serious vitiligo cases. I know MJ never wanted to publicly admit he bleached his skin, but it's obvious he did by sometime in the early 1990's considering how completely pale his skin became, but I do not doubt he had vitiligo and bleached his skin as treatment for it.

Michael used make up to cover up the blotted stops on his body, how it got so light I don't know. But I've actually seen his legs and people with vitiligo and it looks gross. So its understandable why his skin is that color. Not because he wanted to be white, but because he didn't want to look like a freaking spotted Dalmation dog. He was happy to be black.

@Pokemongo1 He got his nose done because people, including his own family, would tease him about having a big nose. He "sleek" hair is a result of a perm. ALL black people get perms. It makes hair more managable.

The reason he had it done is because 1)his dad teased him about his nose and 2) So he could hit higher notes! So why don't you just worry about your own life instead of getting involved in others!! After I've seen many ( I mean MANY) clips of him' all I can say that he felt most uncomfortable after he'd turned completely pale. Just look at his footage, starting from early nineties:his hands are always in front of his face,long locks concealing the eyes, very closed poses, hands crossed on his chest. The whole body language manifested that he wasn't happy with the changes, but he didn't have a choice. He couldn't just go around looking like a spotted cow, I guess

@danny3flip He only had two nose jobs&a cleft added to his chin.With the vitiligo he also got many other diseases that came with it(lupus, etc.) And with the amount of stress he received from: rigorous concert tours, not being able to sleep well, dealing with emotional problems: all of that shows on your face. You also have to take in his diet change throughout the years. But when he lost/gained weight, the fat went to his face and stomach.

Of course he had vitiligo, I'm sure many of you have seen black people walking about with huge white patches on their faces and hands sometime in your life..the only difference is, Michael Jackson used makeup to even things out. He wanted to stay black but when it took over most of his body it's was too difficult to cover everything all the time ..also in concerts ect he would get sweaty and they makeup would run off leaving white streaks and patches.

Honestly, I'm surprised it hasn't spread like wildfire, considering we finally have officially confirmed information about his ever-changing skin-tone. Instead what people gleaned from the autopsy was that he had tattooed eyebrows and whatnot. Way to miss the important stuff, ugh.

@JohnnySton3r karen faye his make up artist said, they did put the brown concealar/makeup to hide it, then after it became spread it more easy to hide the black spot. he even tried to hide it from her for the first time but faye keep suspicious. when he show it to her for the first time he cried. I think it's still here on youtube. after years it was easy that he use benoquin that sommon tor vitiligo patient. dont be too hard on him : )

I really feel bad for pain and the judgement MJ had to go thru, He dealt the best he could with the cards he was dealt. God I would of hate to watch parts of my skin changing and dealing with tabliods making me feel worse. And then he had lupus and that makes you have skin problems and an make you feel horrible. The person who ran CBS Records in the 1980's even believed that nonsense. There's a difference between getting a chemical peel and bleaching your skin the way MJ did. The stuff MJ did was primarily because he had vitiligo. I'm sure MJ was embarrassed he had it & did not tell those in the industry closest to him.

@TheEzekiel300 It's not literally bleaching your skin. It's just what the procedure is called. You take these kind of skin creams, usually Hydroquinone or Benoquin. They can only be obtained by prescription specifically for serious vitiligo cases. I know MJ never wanted to publicly admit he bleached his skin, but it's obvious he did by sometime in the early 1990's considering how completely pale his skin became, but I do not doubt he had vitiligo and bleached his skin as treatment for it.
