and I don't even live in a bad neighborhood either. The only ppl happy to live in NY City are the rich. And thats exactly what our awful Mayor wants, to get rid of the poor and middle class and make NY City a place only the rich can afford. Its becoming imppossible for anyone to be able to afford to live here anymore. I would love to leave but unfortunately both mine and my husbands jobs are here and we wouldn't make half of what we make here anywhere else. Work is why ppl are stuck here for.

yeah well the blizzard of 06 is nothing compared to this years blizzard. I have lived in NY City all my life and I honestly don't know why anyone would actually pay to come here on vacation. I hate NY with all my heart, I am dying to escape from this awful place with rude, mean people, awful drivers, people who will kill u for a parking spot and Im afraid to leave my home for fear my apartment will be robbed again, by my neighbors teens who do drugs all day and hang out. the NY u dont see.

Why is it always a blizzard in USA every time it snows. A blizzard is a snow storm. This isnt a storm its simply falling snow.

In colloquial terms for the US, its basically any snow that shuts down an area for an extended period of time.

And this indeed was a blizzard. We got 20 to 30 inches of snow with gusty winds. Even thuder and lightning occurred.

and let me ask you were in England are you from? and how many tims have u gotten 3 to 4 inches of snow in ur garden. I have family who lives in the London area, and they tell me if it even snows an inch, that is very rare. I know for a fact England receives very little snow every winter. You might be in the northern region, I know they get a little more, but still not enough to say you get snow like we do here in the U.S.Send me some pics of this, I would really like to see....

I dont have 3-4 inches. I got 4 feet at the moment and I never claimed to live in England. I did however live in England a few years and they never get snow. When they get it, its 1 inch and the entire country stops. Airports, schools, nothing works. They use the expression "snowed in" Snowed in, in england, means there is an inch of snow on the ground so that they dont dare to use their cars. Here "snowed in" means you cant open your front door or it takes 2 hours to dig out your car.

If there is one thing that slows down NYC it's a major snow storm. The city gets a blizzard roughly once every two or three years and it's quite a site. The children and dogs seem to enjoy the snow more than everyone else. It's not a pretty site when the great melt starts...lol

Well actually Global Warming was worst in 2005 but then after that temp's dropped more so this year I bet we are going to get at least 2-3 blizzards or snow storms, reaching to 6"-12" possibly more!!!!! So i'm happy because its colder this year than it was last year!!!
