Ok guys Spells can be used in many different ways. Expeliarmus can be used to disarm and blow away, In the 3rd movie harry used Expeliarmus to blow snape away and he used it to disarm in the 5th movie, and MistressNicole stupify can blow you away.

@wcgchampion12 Ah, but to go off the movies isn't the best way. In the books, it took Harry, Ron and Hermione all using Expelliarmus at the same time on one target to blow that target off his feet.

Expelliarmus, when used by one person, will disarm the target.

@officialgsmoke Im not only going off the movie, In the book Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets Snape used it on Gildroy Lockheart and made him go flying away....in the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry uses Expelliarmus and clashes with Voldemort only to beat him and push Avada Kadavra back at Voldemort....It CAN BE USED IN OTHER WAYS!.....just saying....

@wcgchampion12 Circumstantial then? In CoS, a very powerful Wizard cast the spell on a notably pathetic wizard. :) As to the latter example, the spell Expelliarmus was not what beat Voldemort, it was Priori Incantatum.

At any rate, Expelliarmus cannot be used, as it's fictional. :D

@wcgchampion12 Expelliarmus targets and disarms what you consider to be the weapon. Which is usually a wand. But if you consider a person a threat also then they go flying as well. Snape did it to Lockhart to be funny in Chamber of Secrets. And in Prisoner of Askaban Harry seen Snape as a threat and he went flying when they were in the Shreiking Shack.

Expelliarmus is a disarming spell, and does not nock a person back, that would be the stunning spell "stupefy"

Yes but if cast it with a great force, you could actually throw your opponent really backwards.. watch it on the HP3 (film) when Harry exerted effort to cast Snape too much force..

Petrificus Totalus freezes the victim, not like chill freeze, but freezes the motion.
