  • My Uncle Died in Vietnam and i never got to meet him

  • i am blessed to still have my grandpa here with me after the war, bless all your kia fathers and mothers may they rest in peace

  • thank you and God Bless our fallen heroes and families!!!!!! Damnit people let's show some PATRIOTISM!!!!!!!

  • Ya know, it never really hit me until I saw that carved black granite for the first time. I grew up nice and comfortable in California during Vietnam, and was in 5th grade the day Saigon fell. I still remember seeing the helicopters taking refugees off the roof of the US embassy. But it never really hit me until I saw that granite. Then it hit me with the force of a grenade.

Bye Dad. Ma did the right thing by putting me up for adoption. I came out OK. Maybe a bit twisted, but OK overall.

  • If you served in Nam, you have my greatest respect! I was just a kid back then, but I remember the nightly newscasts and a few of my older sister's friends never came home, I will never forget!

  • this is definitely George Jones at his best. Thanks, George! And, thanks to each and every man who has fought in every war to keep us free "over here". May God bless the families of the soldiers who didn't make it back and the families of the soldiers who miss their sons, fathers and brothers while they are "over there" fighting to keep us free. And, shame on the cowards, the fake soldiers and wannabe heroes -- the greatest form of flattery to you, the real heroes. Be safe! God bless!

  • Vietnam was such a waste of lives but i respect all our veterans and i know a lot of them.

  • I lost some friends there. I was there late in war but I'm proud I served.

  • Thanks for posting this great song. Very touching. Been searching for one with good sound quality on here. Here it is. And thanks to our troops for helping us maintain our freedom.

  • over 58,000 died in vietnam and 8,964 POW'S MIA'S left over there .What a shame this country sucks when it comes to giving the respect owed to the vietnam vets.CNN was doing a special on the pows in iran bull shit what about the POW"S over in NAM BRING THEM HOME NOW!!!!! OR SEND US BACK .I WOULD GO IN A HEART BEAT WHO"S WITH ME LET ME KNOW .PLEASE REPLY IF You WANT JUSTICE

  • I feeel bad for the veterans , people treat them horrible but without them theres a chance we wouldnt be here , Support are troops <3 when im 18 im joining the army .

  • The sad thing is if...or when you get home from Iraq and you need medical care from the V A chances are you will commit suicide or or go compleatly off the deep end because the V A care is so bad and takes YEARS AND YEARS TO TREAT A BLISTER. THINK HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE GOD FORBID , THAT YOU MAY BE MENTALLY ILL FROM THE WAR. Its sad but mexicans get more help than our veterans. The V A health care system is pathetic, disgracefull, disgusting, horrible and beyond slow. I could go on and on...

  • This is so true i see what my uncle goes though with the VA he served in Vietnam and has several heath problem I think its terrable the way our veterans are treated

  • hey waz up brothers in arms this is eriks uncle erik things are going great over here i should be home in 16 months

  • i"m a vietnam vet. i'm going to DC to see the wall. it's on my bucket list. i knw i will not handle it well. but i just have to go. this is a great viedo.

  • Im soo sorry to hear about your son..my uncle served in the army back in the 70s or 80s...i was too young to remember..when he came home to stay with us...he was murdered a street down from me...this was his favorite song..he always listened to it.

  • If you want the true meaning of war talk to a vet.

  • If anyone can listen to this song and not cry, then they do not have a heart.

  • Thanks Dewey. I never let them forget. I'm 71 now. See you soon.

  • There was a Memorial built in Flanders field in Holland long before they honerd the Vietnam VETS in the USA. or those who gave there lives in Europe and Korea. The Government tried to forget the VETs of this great country. GOD BLESS AMEREICA and the brave men and women of this land.

The people of Holland still Horor the sacrifice given by the Americans. Thank You.

  • Oh George you are the best

  • Wonderful video share from reliablebow. All the stars and hugs..Jan and Susan.x

  • Sometimes, the best way to tell the truth, is sing a country song...

  • This is an absolutely beautifully done video. To bad he wasn't in Washington for the 25th Anniversary of the Wall. I would have loved to have met him and gotten a chance to jam with him.

    Beautiful!

  • Thank you for this. I had no idea this song was even around. Every American needs to hear it. It means extra to me now as my youngest son, who turns 21 in September is set to deployed to Iraq in November. To top it off, his wife is going to have their first child, also in November. He is set to leave before the birth of his son.

  • sabbysdad...Godspeed to your son and all of our warriors in harms way....

  • Thank you for post. It means a lot that there are still people out there who care about our military.

  • thanks for putting this tribute together..

    3rd Batt. 7th Marines ChuLai RVN 10/65-11/66

  • this is one the best video for the Vietnam Veterans. i cry ever time that i see it.my uncle name is on the wall.P.F.C. ANDREW G. RICHARD. and he is one of my heros

  • Your uncle IS a hero. Not only a hero to you. But to this nation.

  • Brings back memories from over there. Thanks!

  • seen george sing this in concert, was not a dry eye for miles.

  • what a heartbreaking song, and the video does it justice,it moved me to tears

  • This was a great tribute. This is all I can say at this time. Thanks for posting this one and by the only one who can do it right. Vietnam vet.

  • The greatest video tribute by greatest country music singer ever to walk planet Earth.

  • That's not George Strait, maybe George Jones

  • You are right I cant believe I let that typo get past me. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
