Well, as you know, George W. Bush is a "born again" Christian. And this country certainly DID NOT achieve great things during his 8 years in office. And no, religion being a separate and private thing is not an "egregious misconception." It is private, individual freedom in this country. Americans can worship in any way they choose or not at all. The majority of people in other countries have abandoned God. Once the majority of actual heart felt, caring, help your neighbor Christians are gone in our great country then expect the worse. Denmark has no separation of church and state, and they require the royal family to be a part of the Danish National church, which was established by their constitution. Although they have the 3rd highest atheist population, their government is Christian. And was Abram's country not split up? They did not get back together until the '40s. God made that nation, and then they turned their back on him, and he did the same.

This video makes me more outraged with the Religious Right more than anything else? Why? Not only because they have stolen my religion and my country from me but also because the national news media will say NOTHING of this and how negatively it shines on the Republican candidates who participated in this debate. Let a Democratic candidate's pastor say something similar, and they will run with it.

I wept as I watched and listened to this, because it is so true. TRUTH has a way of coming across negatively at first, but for those who will wisely examine their own hearts and lives, TRUTH will set them free. I pray that the TRUTH of this message will change hearts and lives. We as a nation have turned our backs on God and tried to do away with anything that has to do with Him or His word. How can God bless us as we turn away from His love and forgiveness, and go our own selfish, sinful way?

Why shouldn't God bless America? Do we believe in a merciful and fair God? If we believe the Biblical account of the Sodom and Gomorrah, didn't God say he would spare the cities if there were merely 5 faithful? To me it is naive and a bit un-Christian to wish that God not bless this country merely because many of its citizens do not ascribe to what Christians call "His principles." Why is there so much pride and flawed judgement involved in this song?

In June of '62" wrong, only public school sponsored prayer has been disallowed. Any student can pray or even have prayer clubs as long as its not funded by the school. otherwise then can go to private religious school or pray at church
