  • beautiful!

  • Nice. Kind of a Jupiter 2/Starship C-57D hybrid.

  • Awesome !!

  • "This will be used in the upcoming web series "Interstellar Odyssey." More info at the website."

Is the website up for this already? If so,where?

  • @voy709 The website is InterstellarOdyssey(dot)com.

  • @Haselius00 Thank You

  • Ron, appreciate the answer on the ships personnel. Will there be a "robot" of sorts as well?

  • @Seeker13732 The ship itself has a sophisticated AI. And parts of the ship can operate independently. So - if you want to look at it that way - the ship has robotic components.

  • @Haselius00 will their be a robot as in the robot from lost in space?

  • Thanks for this video. I like many others was excited about Gliese 58. It is so encouraging to know others are thinking fast forward about a possible future of expansive space travel as well. Wish we could crack the code in moving toward the technology of creating or even imagining fusion engines that could at least approach light speed. 120,000 miles per second, which is below light speed, would still be desirable to begin to explore the universe in ships like the Odyssey. Good work here.

  • VERY NICE!!!!

  • She is a beauty! i can not wait to see inside.

  • While very cool, it's disappointing compared to the original. I'm sad, I loved the original path.

  • VERY GOOD. I can't wait to see wht the future holds. Keep up the good work!!!!!

  • Most Excellent, Odyssey and Animusic 3, the future looks so good!

  • Ron, I forgot to ask. What will the Odyssey's personnel complement be?

  • @Seeker13732 There are 8 crew members, each with a sleeping cabin. The destination of the ship is the planetary system of Gliese 581.

  • Excessive coolness!! I will be carefully watching for ,ore.

  • Can't wait for the show! Great job. Love the blue!

  • She's beautiful a worthy sucessor to the original Jupiter 2! congratulations!

  • Ron, one word, "OUTSTANDING" The music reminds me of "Hunt for Red October". I am happy for you, that you were able to retain certain similar items from your previous venture. I can't wait to view the interior, as well as a full launch/liftoff and flight sequence. Again, Thank You for another early Christmas present!

  • Great work Ron. I can't wait to see to see the rest of her.

  • Ron what music is this? It's hauntingly beautiful.

  • @cmckenn It's a stock piece of music purchased from AudioMicro some time ago. Forgot the name!

  • Very cool. I do wonder how difficult it will be to design the interior? When you did the Jupiter 2 you at least had something to go by. Will Odyssey be entirely different? Also I notice that the top of the Odyssey has the same effect as the bottom. Does the entire ships' drive occupy the center of the ship, unlike Jupiter which had it's drive on the bottom?

  • @cmckenn Thanks! Most of the interior is designed, although there are several areas that have to be refined. The interiors will be revealed a bit at a time. I can say that there are 2 full decks with 2 "mezzanine" spaces housing the Pod and Rover. The counter-rotating drive units function with the perimeter plasma ring in a sort of envelope configuration. The main control room is in the center of the ship and has a unique display capability.

  • Beautiful! Elegant! Miss a main viewport though....

  • Very Cool ! I can not wait to see the inside. I just know the web series will be great.

  • Outstanding work. I am eager to see more.

  • Nice! The best of the original LIS elements are still there, with a little "Forbidden Planet" tossed in for additional flavor, but all of it guided by your own original design sense. I love it! If this isn't making lemonade out the lemons life gives you, then I don't know what is. Awesome work!

  • Amazing, so beautiful. Thank you for all your great work. I really look forward to that full length movie someday.

  • That's AWESOME!

  • Excellent job Ron as always....it does resemble a space ship from a certain TV show we all know but different enough as not to step on anyones toes.

  • The Jupiter 2 with steroids. :)
