Ah this was fun, I think I beat his ass with 2 rings of Varda (legit, I farmed ages for them) and spammed either Chakrams or the Runesword from range after getting up to his head level or possibly I just gutted it out with Crissaegrim(sp) and a shitload of ash. Makes me wanna fire up the ol PS2 again. :)
Personally, I did this in a completely different way. To beat Galamoth I was level 46, and I would wait until he stepped forward to do his lightning attack. I would immediately use the Hellfire spell (use the version where the fireballs are black) and his entire lightning attack would miss. The trick being you have to put Alucard almost right on top of Galamoth's foot so that when the invincibility frames end you don't get hit by a lightning bolt. That's just the way I beat him though.
@leonardosbavas After doing the Hellfire, assuming you did the black one, then they eat up a pretty fatty chunk by themselves. After they fire though Galamoth still has his leg out, so you can still slash him like crazy. I suppose it just depends on what you're using. I had high Int so the Hellfire did Nuts-Smashing damage.
Yeah, this guy's definitely the hardest boss in the game. he's the only one you have to try a few times before you beat him- like a boss from the older style Castlevania games. I just used a couple of thunder protection potions and spammed the Moon Rod. If you get between his legs during his lightning attack, you can make it so that all four projectiles spawn directly into his leg, making it possible to spam it extremely fast. I just combined that with some good old fashioned dodging!

I managed to get him in that state that using Alucard's sword. I managed to get behind Galamoth using the mist form, then proceeded to wail on him with continious sword attacks for what seemed like a minute. Until I finally defeated him, I was almost convinced he was invunerable!
I was immune to his lightning attack it took only 1 damage after having 54 def. I killed him the hard way. and i would duplicate the bat pentagram a lot.
I had no idea where to find a thunder circlet, so I turned into mist whenever he did his lightning strike attack, moved between his feet, and slashed his ankle like crazy. It took a while, but I did kill him after three tries.
When he is doing his electric attack, spamming heal items is not the only way to survive :p Turn to mist and go stand between his legs and slash him as many times as you can.
Or you could just go like a man with just normal equipment, hard mode, Alucard's Sword, and whup Galamoth's crazy ass old school, Crissaegrim and anything cheap like that is just that, cheap.
Not saying the Duplicator isn't fun to mess with, just saying beating Galamoth isn't an accomplishment when you have all the right badassness equipment.

At 2:30, you can use that technique with Richter too. It's the best way to beat Galamoth in that mode, but it takes forever 'cause Richter only inflicts 8-10 damage.
I didn't realize he was considered hard, by the time you reach him, you're ridiculously leveled up.
Using a simple resist thunder or equipment that resists thunder makes it easy. He just takes long for having high health, but isn't really a threat once you nullify the thunder. No cheats or tricks required.
Galamoth is one of the hardest bosses in any game I've ever played. I didn't actually die against him, but I had to use 16 High Potions to stay alive. It all happened so fast- he shot lightning at me and kicked me around- that I didn't have time to form a strategy and I just kept slashing him hoping that he would die before me. If I had brought one less high potion I would've died.

getting galamoth into the glitched position(i believe its a glitch) works quite well with the alucard sword as well because of the stun and how fast the attack speed is (also mist form helps with most of his attacks)

dude if u defeat those Paranthropus skeletons they drop a ring called Ring of Varda. It increases all your stats if u beat enough Paranthropus u could get 2 rings making u strong as hell.
I beat this boss to, but with a totally different strategy. With the Alucard sword equiped you can do a special move by pressing down, down-forward, forward, attack butoon. This move makes you invisible for a brief moment, and if u time it right you can keep doing the move with out being hit once by him. Try it out. Thanks LiquidMK for the hints.
I got him in the Glitch Lock, Use mist form to fly behind him on and onto the side standing area on the wall, and turn back to normal, after that just keep attacking him before him can back up he becomes traped in a a glitch and can't move or attack but be warned if you do not do it right the first time your dead.
I ain't beat him. I missed all of Alucard's start equipment, save the Twilight Cloak and Dragon Helm, walked in with Mormegail (sp?) and lost. I don't look for secrets that hard.
We must be playing two different games then... Galamoth is pretty much the ONLY boss in this game that I ever had to take more than one try to beat. Galamoth's lightning attack fucking rocks your shit if you don't have the Beryl Circlet equipped.
Dracula was actually pretty easy for me. He didn't have any cheap attacks that could do lots of damage to me. Galamoth, however? I don't think I've EVER beaten him without the Beryl Circlet on me before.
Well, actually, I lost a couple times on Doppleganger10 a few years back, because I had forgotten most prior knowledge of his patterns at the time and just kept getting Bat Rushed into the wall. And when I was 9, Gaibon and Slogra killed me, because I had absolutely ZERO knowledge of how to play the game at the time.
In any case, you get the idea: Galamoth is fucking HARD, and I haven't beaten him without the Beryl Circlet equipped. Someday I might just try to beat him with regular equipment.
I had a much simpler way of beating him. I used Alucards mail which gives you a resistance to thunder and I also used a Resist Thunder potion right before fighting him. Made all his attacks do 1 damage to me except those dark orbs which did 39. I still had to use 2 Elixers but I beat him.
When your spamming the boomerang, it looks like Galamoth is dancing xD Thanks for the help too, the first time I went in there with about 305 hp, and lasted at least 5 mins, with this help I can beat him now. Not the cheap way, I want a challenge still.

can i just say there is a much better way to beat this boss, it's called training up and actually fighting him when you have the stregnth to fight him normally if you take your time this game is very very easy

Not true, you can use Mist Form to escape untouched. I didn't know about the 'cheap' tricks before I saw these videos and I killed Galamoth by teleporting myself between his legs and using 5+ Cross's.
hehehe you could have added the crissagrim to that and shield tricked it think that would have been faster and as nibelung34343 said use the beryl that would keep your heal about at max and that should speed up the killing process
Crissagrim is actually easier to get from the Schmoo if you wear two Rings of Arcana and are willing to fight with some luck boosting equips. You could even use a Duplicator + Luck Potion combo (Duplicator cuts Luck by 10, but the Luck Potion more than makes up for it) to assist in getting it, although the same could be said about obtaining nearly any of the rare items and equips (Heart Brooch, Lapis Lazuli, Mojo and Brilliant Mails, etc.)...

When your spamming the boomerang, it looks like Galamoth is dancing xD Thanks for the help too, the first time I went in there with about 305 hp, and lasted at least 5 mins, with this help I can beat him now. Not the cheap way, I want a challenge still.

can i just say there is a much better way to beat this boss, it's called training up and actually fighting him when you have the stregnth to fight him normally if you take your time this game is very very easy

Not true, you can use Mist Form to escape untouched. I didn't know about the 'cheap' tricks before I saw these videos and I killed Galamoth by teleporting myself between his legs and using 5+ Cross's.

use the mist form to stay under his legs to strike him!!! and when he finish use it again to go out! very effective ;)

hehehe you could have added the crissagrim to that and shield tricked it think that would have been faster and as nibelung34343 said use the beryl that would keep your heal about at max and that should speed up the killing process

Crissagrim is actually easier to get from the Schmoo if you wear two Rings of Arcana and are willing to fight with some luck boosting equips. You could even use a Duplicator + Luck Potion combo (Duplicator cuts Luck by 10, but the Luck Potion more than makes up for it) to assist in getting it, although the same could be said about obtaining nearly any of the rare items and equips (Heart Brooch, Lapis Lazuli, Mojo and Brilliant Mails, etc.)...
