  • Bill: I had a dream where Lenore came back and stole Lenore! And Lenore started driving away with Lenore, so I chased after Lenore calling out "Lenore! Lenore!." And then my teeth fell out. Oh yeah, and Peggy, you were there. Can I sleep in your living room?

Peggy: You have 3 minutes to get me out of that man's dreams.

  • Despite many excellent albums since, this remains my favorite Nox Arcana release. This is one of many tracks that should perfectly explain why.

  • beautiful ~~~

  • a broken heart is merely nostalgic art, unwanted feelings and blood stained hands depict a picture of sorrow in our heart full of tragedy we walk alone, forgotten and lost in her eyes we roam and hope to find our way back home i am loves outkast forever isolated from her embrace, never again will i see her face my lenore, i am ur hammy, i only ask for one thing more love me.... forevermore pt. 3
  • so we fool ourselves, giving to her dangerous touch allowing ourselves a second of ecstasy before realizing, she burns not as much and alas, just like a candle dying out the moment shes handled she gives us one last bright smile then tears away forever abandoning us forever in a life of denial so now she is forever gone we are left cold and empty crying out through scorched lips "why did u tempt me??" pt. 2
  • we reach out, longing for her knowing shes meant for a short moment sacrificing a second of happiness for an eternity of torment ... resembling flames on a candle gloriously shinning and warming who surrounds her we happily embrace the temporary gift and blindly tell ourselves, "its love, Im sure of it" we dance with the phoenix unaware we are burning our souls ...the things we do for the sake of 3 6 or a burning hold pt. 1
  • I listened this while I was going through a break-up. I'm still listening. I will never be like I was before. That me is dead. That me will stay dead forever. I miss you, me. I loved you. I still do love you, a dead memory of what I used to be. Take care of yourself wherever you are now. I know I lost you in his soul. Take care of him and of yourself too. Don't let him kill you again, the only memory of me. Love him as I did and remind him of me and you. Hurt him with the memories of me and you.

  • If you wish to make an AMV with this music, why don't you use fragment of Lenore the cute little dead girl series ? the music and the series has the same originie (edgar allan Poe 's novel).

  • "Eagerly I wished the morrow;

vainly I had sought to borrow

From my books surcease of sorrow- sorrow for the lost Lenore

    For the rare and radiant

    maiden whom the angels

    named Lenore-

    Nameless here for evermore."

    .....photographic memory.....

  • Unbelieably amazing. <3

  • "The life upon her yellow hair but not within her eyes.

The life still there, upon her hair -the death upon her eyes."

  • love this song. the picture looks like the masque of red death tho. awseome music

  • I want this track to be played on my wedding ♥

  • a girl dances in the moon light in a loanly clearing, blood pouring from her mouth ears hands and feet, she does not remember how long she has danced for but the music will not stop. and untill it does she will continue. in the surounding trees peopple watch, tormented as the blood spins through the air painting them all. nothing can stop this dark ritual, this dance of blood and death... the music continues... the day never comes.

  • Sublime, Parfait.

    Bacio Sudamericano.

  • Surely mood music that sends one inside themselves to see their inner demons and beauty, some of whom sadly never get a chance

  • new poem Undress the star Like a razor caresses a vein Your screams fill the air Like a leaf shaken by the wind Fresh smell of blood Fresh lips unfed Your arms turning red like a sunset Their lips shaped like a raven diving into the sky Their rage tamed and dressed By your scar
  • This music is perfect for any writer.

ESPECIALLY the darker kinds of writers.

    LIKE ME!

    :)

  • @shadowpuppy270343 indeed. Whenever I listen to nox arcana, I always feel a urge to start writting something melancholic ^^

  • @ItsAllChaos

    *smiles*

Ah, another soul with good ears and a good head on their shoulders.

I bid you a cold welcome to the Dark side.

  • @shadowpuppy270343 Hehe :) Oh, I don't know if you read my other comment on this video, but I also make songs inspired by nox arcana, check it out on my channel ;) and I'm working on another song/poem right now.

  • love them.... is that a joey jordinson mask?

  • great

  • ''The queenliest dead that ever died so young..''

  • Is it natural to get goosebumps during a song?

  • Beautiful!

  • Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

  • this music sucks you out of the real world, into a dark world a wonders.

  • @DarkFarie111 Yes it does....... and it'd be wonderful if we could just stay in that wondrous world of darkness.

  • @DarkFarie111 I completely agree with you on that

  • That looks just like joey jordison's mask

  • *-*

  • this is so beautiful

  • Holy shit! I don 't know if your aware of this but, that pic you have displayed for this song, That is my gf. I took that picture of her a couple of years ago. Where did you find that?! I am in shock right now never have I thought I would ever see a random picture of my gf up. She still has that mask in her room.

  • Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate are legends.

  • brilliant.... :) try to read George Bacovia ... the best romanian poet.. he wrote a dark poetry...but the people didn't understand his complexity ... it is realy deep...try it

  • as she breathed her last the sun stopped shining (oops) not rotating!

  • that song made me write this poem :D

  • And she called to him Without a voice

Without a mind With no body to express

Yet she still called to him With the leaves that scattered her memories She spoke

  • She would dance in her silver heels at midnight Waiting for that person she loved dearly And replacing him came a knife

    Shattering her heart to pieces

She did not commit the foul But she took the punishment

And whatever memories of her left with the leaves As winter arrived without the sun

And he would stand there still waiting Knowing he was too late but still

Those golden eyes waited for her

  • As her love was getting ready As her love was ready to wait for her She would dance in her silver heels at midnight Waiting for that person she loved dearly If only she knew Maybe she would have stayed? Her heels hit the dirt ground hard As she fell still waiting “Why?” she asked Without a mouth to speak Her love did not come fast enough Her heart stopped And his love dead As she breathed her last the sun stopped rotating
  • People can danger themselves When they are in tension And a woman destroyed With the leaves that scattered her memories It was autumn and the sun was setting She would dance in her silver heels at midnight Waiting for that person she loved dearly She remembers his voice “Wait for me” he told her She ran past the guards Past her home Leaving any chance of a future Any chance of life She loved him so And she knew what was at risk So her murderer took his chance
  • me gustan, no se que se metan o con que se inspiren perooooo que canciones es mi segundo favorito y tambien que viva gorgoroth

  • This is beautiful.

  • Ah, broken is the golden bowl! the spirit flown forever!

Let the bell toll! -a saintly soul floats on the Stygian river -

And, Guy De Vere, hast thou no tear? -weep now or never more!

See! on yon drear and rigid bier low lies thy love, Lenore!

  • @magus218 Come! let the burial rite be read -the funeral song be sung! -

An anthem for the queenliest dead that ever died so young -

A dirge for her, the doubly dead in that she died so young.

o i love this lenore and the raven.. :)

  • awsome

  • Nox Arcana reveals the darkness in me. i never thought i 'd like this sort of music, but i do. in fact, it has become my new passion...

  • i could write many wonderfully dark and grim tales to such beautiful music. with every cord and rhyme i feel intune with nox arcana's music

  • It's odd how I can never find this stuff in record stores & then come Halloween & everyone has it! Is this scary to some people or something??? Because I am far more afraid of that auto tune rap crap all over radio these days!

  • Nox Arcana's music is a power, which tears you out from reality and brings to a garden of fantasy, mysticism and soft horror... I can listen this music day to day... It seems to be the sounds of my own world, which I have deep within... :)

  • Good song.

  • just love Nox arcana. Awesome music...

  • Music theory at its best...unlike the so called music being played on the air waves of the present.

  • I am carried away with this musick.. I have left my body and am now traveling through time and space. The astral planes illuminate my mind as cosmic energy soars through my veins. I am at peace with nature and with all entities. Knox Arcana, you ROCK.... lol

  • Its like Im in a Trance or something...

    great music

  • Hiányzol Lenore! Ne haragudj rám! :(

  • so beautiful, it just takes you to a place entirely of your own.

  • only if the things that the songs are about were turue i would whant to be among them in away that we were united just a thought beyond the bounderies of are belief it would be intresting to change it

  • wow! when I hear this song, I forget everything around me....

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I love Edgar Allan Poe's works. "The Raven" is my favorite poem of his, and this music is just stunning--it fits the emotions the speaker of the poem goes through perfectly. I hear bittersweet reminiscing in this music, anguish at the memory of Lenore's death, and the despair of knowing he will never see her again. This is just beautiful.

  • @TheaterRaven Poems are one thing, but his short stories is a whole new level

  • @ssasshrio Oh, I agree, they definitely are. My introduction to Poe came when I was 9 years old. My fourth grade teacher had this Halloween tape and one of the things on it was a man reading :The Tell-Tale Heart". I slept with my lights on all week out of terror and have loved Poe ever since. His poems AND stories are beautiful; "The Tell-Tale Heart" has a special place in my heart, but I also love "The Cask of Amontillado" and "The Fall of the House of Usher".

  • this song is so lovely and spooky...i love it -^.^-...

  • I heard this song on halloween!

  • creepy and beautiful song!

  • also another one like Lenor named from Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven is Nevermore... it what the raven always croaks back... I majorly love the fact that they use Poe as a reference He's my fav poet... and i now love Nox Arcana ^^ GO POE!!! if i was alive when edgar was i would have married him, instead of his cousin... grr... but... that's just a fantasy... my own little gothic fantasy... ^^

  • That's a good way to die of tuberculosis. But perhaps it would be worth it.

  • I have high respect for Virginia, indeed, she was loved by Poe and that is enough to make me love her too :-)

He had good taste in women XD

  • @PurplePixie423863 i know, right?! i love him! i did a report on him for school. once

  • @vampirelurver133 ohmigosh i did too! :D lol

  • @PurplePixie423863 Woo! By the way, I would have married him too ;). XD

  • Can't stop listening to it. So beuautiful and eerie at the same time. Everytime I listen to this I imagine a long lost couple finding each other again at the cemetery. And they start dancing between the graves with the fog moving around them.

  • Umm paintingsina83... how did you get that out of this song? i get a someone in a desolate house playing piano.

  • I don't know. I got a crazy imagionation I guess :) The music just reminds me of long lost love and cemetery. Don't ask me why :) Those pictures just came to my mind when I listened to this.

  • @sliverofhumanity jeez, itz calld an imagination! how else do you think they got it

  • do you mind if i use this idea for anything?

  • No, not at all. Go ahead. But I hope you can show me what you've been doing with the idea. It would be fun:)

  • Thank you. It'll probably take a long time though. and you'll might see this idea in fanfiction (dot) net or a book/novel.

    thank you again. seriously

  • No problem. Hope I get to see the result when you're done with it no matter how much time it will take. It would be fun to see the result of your project:)

  • then they trip in a grave and hit their head an die :D thats what they get for dancing in a graveyard :]

  • @krissxundead lol, funny respond to my comment. But they can't die since they are already dead. That's what I mean with long lost love. They get together again after they both have died. They get together again and are meant to be together forever cause now no one can hurt them. That's why they are dancing of happiness at the cemetery between the graves with the fog moving around them. Well, that was the pic that came to my mind when I listenened to this:)

  • I can't find words... incredible... :O

  • when i hear this song i feel it in my soul

  • yeah reeeallly great song sad yet beautiful it makes me want to cry

  • ohhh gran amor de poeee!!!

  • My favourite song from Nox Arcana.

  • Simply beautiful :)

  • When I listen to this I have to mute things like my TV, and just listen in silence. It's so beautiful.

  • Great song

  • Can anyone tell me what it the poet The Raven all bout?

  • what is the raven about? it tells the story of a man who has recently lost his beautiful wife lenore, adn he is sitting alone in his room one day when he sees a raven. he asks the raven various questions ("will i ever see my wife again?" kind of questions) but every time the raven answers "never more". eventually, the narrator just keeps asking the questions to the point where he drives himself insane with sorrow and dies. the poem is about being addicted to sorrow.

  • I love it! I don't know how many times I've heard this in a row. I just can't stop listening. It's so haunting and beautiful at the same time. And who doesn't love Nox Arcana and Edgar Allan Poe. I'm a big fan of both of them. And I think this is the best piece of music ever made by Nox Arcana.

  • Roman Dirge, the famous artist, got his name from 'Lenore'.

  • Too many tears never dried Last words whispered through my lips A mirror shows my reflection But when you look behind it There is no one behind you Liian monet kyyneleet koskaan kuivattu Viimeiset sanat kuiskasi minun huulet A peili osoittaa oma harkinta Mutta kun tarkastelee sen takana Kukaan ei ole takanasi i love these songs
  • after, There is no one behind you...... did you start having a stroke ? lol

  • hear the whispers in the dark, muffled cries from long ago--

aeons pass and shadows fall, screams now echo through the halls--

evil spirits, tortured ghosts, demon wretches seeking hosts--

they are watching while you sleep, feeding on your darkest dreams--

you are scared but cannot wake, trapped within this nightmare state

now you walk amongst the dead, your mind consumed in cryptic dread

A dirge for her the doubly dead in that she died so young."

    Beautiful~

  • what does lenore mean?

i heard its a girls name

  • Lenore is a name

this album is from edgar allen poe stories

  • Lenore is a (beautiful) girl from the eponymous poem by E.A. Poe who died at a very young age. Lenore is also briefly alluded to as being the name of the dead wife of the narrator from "The Raven".
