You are right, I dont think Red had the capacity to be a friend. Many of them were pure users. Some loved him and respected him like Jerry,Charlie,JD,Stamps and maybe Myrna of the Sweet Inspirations

Krazypup, its called desperation, running out of things to talk about Elvis for a buck, Red West was always a trouble maker from the start, Sonny West, Red's cousin followed in his footsteps, I agree I think his conscience gets to him at times, who is to say Elvis wasn't just clowning around with them when he saw things in the sky, everybody looks at the clouds and thinks they see something in them, that does not make them crazy, these guys still continue with anything they can to make a dollar.
