  • Wow. What kind of phonograph and reproducer is that? Very crisp and clear reproduction. Very mellow.

  • @2agray Thanks! It's a small portable Columbia Grafonola No.100. I think it's from ca. 1929. On the reproducer it just says "Columbia" and "Made in England", no number or other info on it. The gramophone is built in a metal case, which may be the reason that I don't get such a rich bass sound out of it? Otherwise it's in quite worn condition. I imagine that someone in the 1930s had lots of fun with it. I managed to sort of fix the broken arm and I'm happy that it's enjoying a 2nd life now :-)

  • The Boswell Sisters, niet te verslaan! Heerlijke plaat...

  • A classic song given that exquisite Boswell treatment--marvelous!

  • How do I find mp3iiiiify to download this song? I was told to google mp3iiiiify.

  • I wish I could have lived during this time when the Boswell Sisters, and Andrew Sisters were popular. Life just seemed simpler. I"m 61 years old and identify with this time period.

  • Okay, this settles it; I'm going to have to buy another record player.

  • There's some kind of genius involved in arrangements like this one.

  • Lots of fun! Thanks for posting this.
