  • Blinky have say to me this is car with woman who like to anger course with woman

  • why don't these guys tell the price of the vehicle, atleast starting price and price of the tested vehicle would help a lot.

  • @paraglenner shut the hell up u Brit

  • forester or outback someone plz help

  • @15815daniel outback is longer and heavier which means slower and more fuel, the forester is taller and lighter. and ir eckon i t looks better. but outback is still good

  • @15815daniel both great cars, outback is more luxurious

  • @15815daniel Neither. Unless you live in Alaska

And then I would say get a AWD RAV4. The quality and reliability is just not there like it is in a Toyota.

  • @TheCottonTop All reviews I've seen comparing the 2 say the Subaru is the better car in every way.

  • @15815daniel forrester

  • @15815daniel Depends If you want a Turbo charged engine (available on the Forester) or a bigger non-turbo 3.6L H6 on the Outback.

  • @15815daniel outback more power overall. better offroad

  • @cybertiberium but forester has more ground clearance that outback?

  • Suzuki GrandVitara or this Subaru Forester?

Suzuki currently have great offer here in Canada, 74 month finance 0.00% and 40cent for each liter of gas used in the first year....100k power train warranty or 7 years.....but it feels a bit jumpy due to off-road suspension....

  • 24 mpg wow what rubbish economy. Thank goodness for the diesel engines here in europe. Thinking of getting one at the end of the year after having alook at some others, Better cabin space than most of the others and a great engine so smooth

  • my mom just bought a 2010 model to replace her 2005 volvo xc90. the volvo may only have a 2.5 litre 5 cylinder but it still isnt gutless like the subaru. also, the subaru rides kinda like a moon lander. VERY bouncy.

  • Just got my 2011 Limited in 5 speed manual. It was the only manual on the lot! I LOVE it. Roomy, quiet, and just solidly built. If you have not driven one, I highly recommend it. Keep in mind, you're not getting this car to win drag races or mud bogs. You are getting it for a great daily driver that provides some light off road capability to take you camping or things like that. It has some really nice features, and from an ergonomic standpoint, everything is positioned really well.

  • I wish Subuaru would put a 6-speed auto or CVT with the Forester. It seems to be the only complaint about it, it only has a 4-speed auto; CVT is available with the Outback.

  • Overall rating of the forester on a 1 to 10 scale according to me as a owner of one is a 5. The vehilce is a pile of junk for the money it costs and also it being considered a semi premium Japanese brand, what a joke. I will not buy a Subaru ever again!

  • I bought a 2010 Forester 2.5x premium last year and the vehicle has been awfull. I am disatisfied with it entirely. Main gripe is the position of the brake pedal, its so far left it makes me wonder if the engineers thought people have a leg in the middle of their body. Its a idiotic design and makes it feel dangerous cus its hard to stop its so tiring. The postion of the seatbelt at the lap is too high and is irritating. Engine has pinged since new and the interior rattles like a earthquake.

  • @cheemooo, people do, actually, "have a leg in the middle of their body". the problem is that most guys would only wish it was long enough to reach down to the brake pedal. So, really, the complaint to the engineers is not so much about the positioning of the brake pedal, but rather for their miscalculations about the third leg and its reach :))) lol don't mean to spoil your serious comment. just thought I'd add a little fun to the whole thing lol

  • This vehicle has a ssssllllooooowwww, hard shifting tranny

  • @greatbigsteve, that's 'cause you acted like a typical american and opted for the slushbox automatic vs the real thing, the manual :)))

  • I have a 2001, and I absolutely love to drive this car. But, I really would like to experience what Subaru has done with the new Forester. It's insane!!!

  • @yralm07 I have a 2001 as well, fun to drive, hell to fix

  • Too bad it looks so dull now, much like a lot of SUVs. Subaru's are either dull or ugly in the latest generation.

  • I am looking to trade my 05 Impreza with the Forester for the added space in the cargo area.

  • my sister wants this car and after this review im pretty sure she should get it. I wish they gave us the performance numbers in this review though

  • For you Forester owners, is there a lot of room in the back for traveling with a ton of luggage and 4-5 people comfortably?

  • @mmorabe I test drove one with 3 other people, and they were very cozy in the back seat. Plus you get a bigger cargo area than a Nissan Rogue or Ford Escape. These are worth looking at.

  • '

this subaru car forester is a good car,,,

the front silver grille is too closed as a blind and not enough cooler air to the radiator / motor

  • All is great except the 4AT

  • @wengil494 I agree, I wanna buy a Subaru within 2 years from now, they really need to put the 6speed auto into the forester

  • @NoxNoctisUmbra the only correction to what you say is that it really need a 6 speed manual, all vehicles should be manual hands down, then people will learn how to drive and not just mash the throttle and go.

  • Haaa Haaaaa! US consumers only gets the 4EAT with the XT and we in aussie land get the 5MT. a foz, aint a foz if it aint manual. honest review, thumbs up

  • @melbexcavation Subaru really spoils you Aussies.....JELOUS

  • haa haaaaaaa! we get the 5MT in aussie land. too bad us get the 4EAT. but overall good and honest review.

  • Hey blurguide - that's wierd that you drove a rattly one - must have been a pre-production - I suggest you drive one now, I think you will be .

As for the 4EAT on the 2.5XT (turbo), I hear ya and agree it is disappointing - a 5 or 6 speed auto with paddles or a 6 speed manual would be my choice for both fun and even better fuel economy. Still, even CR was impressed with both after their testing.

  • They're great on paper, but I drove one when it first came out. I was shocked to find out how many rattles there were right off the showroom floor, and to find out the turbo can only be had with an antiquated, unresponsive 4-speed automatic slushbox. The old XT was quite a performer, but the new one is merely adequate.

  • SUBARU RULES!!!
