19 years and no English? I don't think they said she was even legal in this country anyways. What happend was that she was arrested, spoke no English and became belligerent at the jail, resisting, etc. Anyone who has ever seen inside a jail knows that you can't let that shit fly. You have to DOMINATE. You must dominate quickly or you can lose control of the situation quicker than you think.

If you are so offended by it I suggest you take a look at yourself. Most intelligent people already know that. My Grand mother spoke her Native language only. She was a legal resident who died 40 years ago. This women is now here legally due to what happened to her. Arpaio's thugs blew it. She will also probably wind up with a nice check.

@Humanleague002 Right, it's not illegal to speak a foreign a language & not be able to speak English after 19 years in the USA ILLEGALLY!!! However, it is against the law to overstay a Visa or as in her case enter the nation without documentation and around customs. She has broken this law every minute of every day for at least 19 years. She has lived off of others and then has the audacity to refuse to have her prints taken, displaying a disrespect for our nation that arouses indignation.

Reverendjim1 1) She didn't live off anyone except her hard working husband like many Catholic stay-home moms. 2) She was already fingerprinted when booked. The Cop couldn't read a legal ID correctly. Sheriff's Arpaio's Thugs tried to force her to sign voluntary deportation papers. They tried forcing her fingerprints as authorization on them. She refused until they broke her arm, left her locked up without med attention. She now gets to stay here legally and is sueing. Now you pay dumbass.

How do you know she has lived off others, I'm pretty sure she worked for every piece of bread she ate, which means, she has had to contribute into the economy for cost of living like all others. when a person overstays their Visa they are living off the tax payers who pay for the infrastructure that everyone uses. If you are illegal how do you work? Off the books? I guess you feel borders should be open in every nation? So I guess then if I would like to live in Iceland I should just take a boat, sail in and setup camp. Our constitution should not apply to those of foreign nationality. "Indigenous" How do you define indigenous, who was here before? Do you define it ethnically?

@benthemiester Well we certainly disagree and I strongly believe that the majority (once silent) of US citizens agree with me. My opinion is that the hordes of illegal, undocumented ,unregulated, immigration can well be seen as a crisis. The vast majority (nearing 100%) of these illegal immigrants are of a "Latino" ethnicity. Every ethnicity posses traits that can be used as rough identifiers. For the police to use these traits to identify potential illegals is not unconstitutional IMHO.

@benth Remember, the courts have upheld various initiatives aimed at ensuring the publics safety in times of emergency and/or crisis. Curfews are one such example, clearly you would rather see the constitution interpreted in a revisionists fashion against the intentions of our founding fathers. Voting was a privilege granted to those who held stake in the nation (owned land), males voted for the family. Gun ownership was expected & a national taxation scheme was considered unconstitutional.

@benthemiester Yes thats true we had slavery and of course the indentured servants that are so rarely mentioned; both of these groups could not vote. I am not aware of any group of slaves in any time that had the right to vote; however, some aspects of an 18th century paradigm would be very welcome in my book. A book you clearly have never read nor would subscribe to.

When code is created or revised in a manner that is inconsistent with the values of our founders, it can be considered a revisionist and possibly a subversive legislative act.
