Of all the Transformers toons, I hated TFA the most! It had bad animation, horrible stories, and they tried way too hard to link TFA to TFG1! Why even try and connect the two? Thank the Allspark for TF Prime! They finaly got a good G1 style toon, then updated it so new fans will have as much fun as I had when I was a kid!

armada: Megatron was an homage to G2 megatron.

Energon: Downshift was an homage to G1 wheeljack. Galvatron was an homage to G1 galvatron.

Cybertron: Starscream was an homage to the tetrajet. Thundercracker was an homage to the G1 seekers. Hot Shot was an homage to G1 hot rod (in design only, not colour)

Movie: All are linked to G1, in some way.

A lot more cowardly then I think he usually is, but I like that it delves into his psychology a bit more instead of making him a coward, a lier, and a suckup with no serious background. To be honest, I hate Starscream. There's only two incarnations of him, of every one since the 1980's that I love, which are Energon Starscream and TFA Starscream

@LightningLegend12 I like TFP Starscream more than any other because he was much more subtle than G1 and TFA Starscream, who would shoot Megatron every time he turns around. He has also done things far worse than any other incarnation; Killing Cliffjumper, ripping the Dark Energon out of Megatrons chest and he was a great leader in Megatrons absence. I usually hate Starscream too, but TFP has changed that.

At the end of his original debut episode, Soundwave was similarly reduced to a small component, from which he "regrew", regenerated or whatever back into himself for this episode. This lines up with his original creation, where he evolved from a toy robot and merged additional robots himself to form a larger body.
