  • My ex-husband used to sing this song to me. My God I havent thought about him in forever. Sad that this is the only good memory I have....

  • One of the best guitar sols ever, lovin it!

    Thank you

  • My band does this song and I use a talkbox, The crowd loves it. One of Millers best..

  • this is shit !

  • Love it.

  • is there another name for this?

  • stevie guitar miller is the bad bad boy with that good good thing

  • i played acc with steve and i like the little train that could pull its weight around the track, both ways no ways

  • It sounds a little bit like Rocky Mountain Way. But either way no worries - it is all great music.

  • sorry, but this song sounds nothing like joe walsh.

  • @xTjPx It's a wee bit like Joe Walsh, but better!

  • @cheryllynnmc good music either way!

  • lol weird song

  • wonder if joe walsh's attorney ever

    called to say 'howyaDOIN?'

  • Considering that "The Stake" came out in 1977 and "Rocky Mountain Way" came out in 1986, I would think it would be Steve Millers attorney that would want to know "What's up"?

  • Rocky Mountain Way came out on "The Smoker You Drink the Player You Get" Album; Originally Released Date: November 30, 1972

  • You my friend are absolutely right and I was wrong. I am humbled and I bow to your rock trivia knowledge. I should have gotten my facts straight. :)

  • "Rocky Mountain Way" came out way before 1986. Both great songs, but I like Miller's song better.

  • In response to JustAintthatWay...It would've been a waste of money for Walsh to contact his attorney. You can't copyright chords. Lyrics & melody only. Both songs are so-so, anyway.

  • This epitomizes 70's music in a great American way.

Zep was Zep, Who was Who, Stones were Stones as the Beatles faded.

Talk about surviving the test of time?

    This is it!

  • this is my favourite b&

  • i think its called stake the band... just sayin

  • someone gimme the bass tabs, im desperate

  • They've been to Oahu, now they are performing on MAui...I wonder if they will make it to the Big Island of HAwaii?

  • It is essentially the same riff, with the exception of 2 chords.

  • I'd love to see Steve Miller play this with Joe Walsh and Rock Mountain Way, it's almost the same riff

  • I posted a question on Yahoo! Answers, and I was like what is that Steve Miller Song that sounds like Joe Walsh Rocky Mountain Way??

  • I addressed this question some months ago. After much careful deliberation, I have to say that although Joe Walsh demonstrates a more mature sounding guitar playing ability, Steve Miller has a better song.

  • Both are 70's icons and fantastic artists in their own right, I can't say one is better than the other but I would love to see them play the two songs off each other, Joe Walsh is enough of a comedian to do it and make it a blast. Maybe some day at the rock and roll rest home.

  • Yes, 70's icons, but who has the better SONG?

  • Saw Walsh with Thorogood and is top 10 of all time (saw 100's).

Probably like Miller more but sadly missed him. Thank God for YouTube.

  • THaNKSYOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS SUPER SEXY SONG

  • ME TOO!

  • i love this song

  • so do I !!!!

  • @fixablecrown ME TOO!!! WHO CARES IF SOUNDS LIKE WALSH? I SAY - WHO CARES!!! IT'S A GREAT STEVE MILLER SONG!!!!!
