you MUST be on the line. those are the rules. this shot is not a legal shot. it's neat though. does't help much seeing as you can simply move to the right or left and still have a good clear shot while being able to leave the shooter in the middle for more points.
@rty977 I suppose technically by the rules set out by the WCC, the disc should be touching the line, but I think the intention is to keep you from starting your shot from inside the 5 area. I have never called anyone on starting behind the line, nor has anyone ever said anything to me about it. The jump shot is not really a practical shot in traditional rules anyways.
