@nick4alex well it was the 70's so hustlin music was popular. but this movie tells the story of sports, the owners are really in control, they dont want anyone to rise above the game, and the whores.

This is very much like how the elites probably party nowadays.
In fact those rollerball guys in the film probably have it like modern-day footballers, albeit the rollerball guys have more style. :)
