  • It's like Physicist are the posts and the engineers are the share button.

  • can you disprove that he is from the future? yes, your mother gave birth to you.. i love kaku i just kinda scratched my head at that.. obviously you can prove that you're not from the future :/

  • @408DjBigC408 i'll play devil's advocate here. what exactly does giving birth have to do with being from the future? are you saying we stop giving birth in the future?

  • @irateburrito

it means you can obviously prove youre not from the future.. i never said we stop giving birth in the future.

  • dr kaku for president

  • This guy brought up a great point with the education aspect... i just remember last year in my physics class -___- it was a lot of math problems but i was never really told why they were important. It was just a race to remember the equations in time for the test. Science and pretty much any academic subject are best learned out of natural curiosity and observation.

  • Nikola Tesla was also a Physicist

  • @boondockfiction82 i thought he was a electric engineer

  • Breaking Bad makes science fun. I've learned billion times more on that show then in chemistry class

  • KAKU IS THE MAN!

  • America = Killer Robot

    Japan = Sex Bot

  • only if the humans spent more time listening to this guy instead fighting over which religion has the real God.

  • isn't the unit for magnetic field a Tesla?

  • 6:41 exactly the reason why I've always loved Star Trek, although I can not say much about Star Wars (haven't seen any of them from beginning to end), I've seen Flash (like 20 years ago) it's cool and all, but Star Trek is the deep stuff, food for thought.

  • I'm interested in math and science even though i am a freshman in high school I'm pretty sure i am the only one in my entire high school

  • i'm a cockroach and i'm so offended!

  • Radio was invented by a engineer, Nikola Tesla.

  • This interviewer completely changes to a whole different subject in each question...

  • 0 Dislikes. That's justice

  • Dr. Kaku is amazing.

  • I love the interview but the interviewer kinda lost track at the ending just when Dr Kaku starting to say intresting things.

  • i feel so bad for him.

  • Comment removed

  • U thought Michio said our robot leaders would throw a PENIS at us....I was lost at what he was trying to get at until I realize he said PEANUTS.

  • kaku - yoda

  • kaku = yoda

  • No dislikes!! I'm guessing cause this video is about this man Kaku

  • Some one should ask him about the jetsons, because they live in the sky yet jetson is a blue collerd worker!

  • Yet he's more of a real-life Yoda than real-life Spock/Data.

Actually, this is cool. This is the closest we get of having Yoda in the real world. helping us to learn the unified force, he is.

  • Dr. Kaku mentioned the difference between science & engineering, in a nice, & clear way.

  • physicists divide atom,

    Engineers make a Bomb,

    idiots get hold of it.

  • He's totally right about the educational system. I always loved science because of "Beakman's World' in my child days, in secondary school science had so much for us to just memorize that the subject went from favourite to most hated subject. Me and physics turned into a Hitler-jew situation. So I changed to all economics/accounting subjects when it came to pick subjects. Now Kaku's got me interested in science (physics) again. Got my curiosity back..Fair enough to say Michio Kaku saves lives!

  • fuck school

  • I honestly think that yes. If science and math were illegal then people would take a much larger interest in them.

  • @HawaiiSurf10

Well; For some it's much more inaccessible than if it was illegal.

It's way too expensive when it should be free...

  • what a wasted interview

  • I did notice that he touches the side of his nose at 5:26. So, he may not be entirely truthful about what he was saying at that moment. According to micro-expressions.

  • @SpaceDragonX Why would he lie about it? To what gain?

  • press 2 3 then 4 with good timing and you get physicist make us have murderous thoughts.. not really true.. but im bored :D

  • @verifymyageful haha i tried and it worked lol

  • 1st question...both are cool, one comes up with it, one implements it...both are cool :)

I would have so like to see more of this edited interview

  • 1st question...both are cool, one comes up with it, one implements it...both are cool :)

  • pause at 5:10 lomfao

  • That is indeed the job of the theoretical-physicians to break-through, noting more! ;) But it's the a very valuable contribution :)

  • I am overwhelmingly entertained.

  • A moral problem arises with Kaku's idea of a chip in the brain of a fully intelligent, living, evolving being, created by us or not. This idea that we can take life that we create is primitive and may or may not pass onto self-evolving AI. I believe that self-evolving AI (call me an optommist) will recognize the value of all life and be curious about it. But there may be some conflict, as with all life. Perhaps chips for all of us wouldn't be a bad thing, eh?

  • When im in school i learn everything in my science text book and ask why, teacher would say u don't need anymore than this to pass the exams. If u dont understand just remember it by hard.

  • He should have said that the upcoming SuperBowl is America's last.

  • heck if i had half of his intelligence, i would be a genius

  • @gg2000gg2000, why sell yourself short? As Jaque Fresco put it, (and I'm paraphrasing) "Intelligent is completely relative" people are geniuses are different things, Joe Rogan said that as well. I'm very intelligent when it comes to creative writing, boxing, and fight science. I'm more of a cheerleader for science in many areas, but I read the books these guys write and gain enough of an understand. To me, intelligence is imagination and ambition. But it can also be physical reactions.

  • true a smart man like this has better things to focus on than the professional sport leagues

  • I say my right hand is cooler than my left hand because I can do so much more with my right hand. :)

  • DOHH

  • Well physicists don't have the same humor as an engineer :P

  • NO DISLIKES OMG FIRST TIME

  • Love that man!

  • long live Michio. may he always inspire little kids to ask their mums if they can build atom smashing machines in the garage :)

  • aw so cute how engineers are santa's (physicist) little helpers

  • Comment removed

  • what did he study at Harvard? i really want to know

  • @kingroy97 lol im going to guess physics lol

  • Comment removed

  • Ooops I meant to say that I learn more science at home then at school.

  • @Jose41432 I completely agree, education is the worse, if you actually flip through your textbook there's some awesome shit and they only teach the boring blah blah blah memorize stuff. I HAVE THE WORST MEMORY AND LOVE SCIENCE.

  • You rock Michio Kaku and science rocks, but school is really boring in science because what you said and I learn more science then at school. I am an 8th grader and I think school needs to change how they teach.

  • this guy blows tlks to much theory never shows shit

  • @dojOdRiFTeR says the man who invented shit

  • @togo002 same with him string theory bleh btw engineers contribute more than dreamers

  • 3 months? do another one plz. he's fun!

  • @Georgi4CHRIST

A powerful enough nuclear blast will fry the flesh of any human, and we're not built with nuclear shielding. There are also a million other ways to kill us - likely more ways than there are to kill a robot, in fact. So what's going to stop the robots from killing us before we wipe every last one out with EMPs?

  • A powerful enough electro-magnetic pulse will fry the electronics in any machine, including robots, so we just have to make them without EMI shielding. Otherwise a very good interview

  • Dr. Kaku ....... Thank you.

  • michio kaku is so cool :)

  • Michio IS from the future, I am convinced.

  • @RealGhostVision That's why he's warning us about the robots!

  • really cool

  • 2:17 - Did he say "throw a penis at us"?

  • @Ocelotlikespie Throw peanuts at us....lmao though that was hilarious lol!

  • @shkotay Oh, I see. Woah, big difference between peanuts and penis. Sorry!

  • @Ocelotlikespie No probs, man I laughed like a loon watching that again and getting mental images lol!

  • its tru schools are the reason why not many ppl likes science >:(

  • he says the same shit in EVERY interview

  • @ryancouture so true, yet i cant stop watchin.

inteviewers need to start asking the right question else he will just go into automatic mode.

  • @ryancouture It's true. I've watched a lot of videos which Dr. Kaku repeats almost the same sentences over and over,... although these are all wise insights, after a while I can't stop wondering isn't this a bit boring for a person as smart as he is? However, no matter what his motivation to do so, I am still very thankful because at least Dr. Kaku are willing to talk in a simple way for we ordinary minds.

  • @ryancouture its not his fault the interviewers just keep asking the same darn question every time

  • lasers changing my life?

    where

  • @ryancouture DVD/Blu-ray players!

  • he has a very good way of explaining the relationship between physicists and engineers. One side has intelligence to create "useless" stuff, and the other has intelligence to understand it and think how to apply it to humanity and better society.

by the way, to the other responders who probably found this by searching via physics and his name, i found it searching via engineering... engineers are still cooler my friends! :)

  • physisicts are defiantly cooler.I just found out to believe in god and the big bang.God made the big bang!

  • @Animalcorssingfan yes god made everything, but there is something else also made the bigbang .. thats when science come and solve this thing .. there is the parallel universe theory that explains the bigbang .. the science should be asking why that happened and how .. if just believe it was from god and didn't search and wonder the science wouldn't be here .. we would be thousnds of years back!

  • science illegal haha thats funny..... mr. kaku has inspired me to look into science a lot more it is so interesting and space is the most interesting thing that exists to me.

  • science illegal lol

  • Also, this is addressed to Dr. Kakutanu: it's the BBC documentaries, just like the ones YOU make, that re-create that spark of curiosity after the high school years. That's what happened to me anyways, which is why I'm going to study quantum mechanics.

  • oh physicists are DEFINITELY cooler!!

  • id have to say that science and math interest me while cigarettes disgust me so there you go i support the view

  • michio has said before that AI could reach the intelligence of a money in 30-40 years. now hes saying by the end of the century??

  • Great work Todd, awesome interview!

  • You forgot the technicians, its physicist, then engineer and finally technicians

  • great interview!

  • Great video Todd.

  • great stuff :D

  • veryy good interview loved it

  • Sir, what's your view about Battlestar Galactica?

I would like to thank anengineeringmind for this interview =)

  • I have really big issues with government funding of science. Especially military funding. I wish more scientists and engineers would speak out against this theft.

  • Michio Kaku is my hero.

  • Top interview. :)
