Phoebe the deaconess (Romans 16:1)? When Paul said "women be silent," he did NOT mean "women have no place in ministry." In context, Paul isn't negating female *ministry*, only female *authority*. Paul was plain in his instruction of womens role in the church and if that isn't enough 1 Tim 3:2,12 say that bishops and deacons are to be the husbands of one wife. I have yet to meet a woman who can meet that criteria. Although in these modern debaucherous times I'm sure the US is not far from fulfilling the requirement. I suppose that then it will be official so that false women teachers will feel justified. However Phoebe would not have fit the criteria even if your verse did say deacon.

First, I was talking to a Mormon who was saying that Sandra's a false teacher simply because she's female. I then cited verses that document women who served God. Do you mean to come across as thinking you have some sort of corner on the truth and appear quite immature in the faith? As for having "spelled it out with...Bible verses," LDS do the same thing. I'm curious, only because I do not know... How is Mormonism a polytheistic cult when Christianity is also somewhat polytheistic (Holy Trinity)? What is the actual difference? It's a good question. The trinity, which is not in the Bible, is somewhat hard to explain. As a Biblical Christian, I believe God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God. Each member is separate and distinct yet they are one God. Three distinct Persons one substance.

Mormons believe in three separate gods as far as the "trinity" goes. Also, the god of this world had a god and that god had a god before him and so on. Also, that man can become a god. This is not Biblical.

Yes, this is why the Mormon ideology doesn't quite fit with the Bible, for a number of reasons. The Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible itself. What makes it even worse about the Book of Mormon is that it agrees with the Bible on the "trinity". Nowhere in the BofM does it explain the Godhead as being three separate gods but one God.

When you read one of the last sermons of Joseph Smith, he talks about the pluarlity of gods. Its all blashemy and on top of that he says that the church has preached this from the beginning of its inception. If that is true then the BofM knows nothing about it. Joseph lied!

She has become a Christian of some sort. As the Great Great Grandaughter of B.Y. she probably had plenty of mormonism growing up. I don't think she could overthrow the church single handed, but the culminative effect of such groups as hers would have a serious effect. Yes, if you listen you will hear her mother's maiden name was Young. She was happy in the mormon faith, but her future husband got her to read Brigham Young's sermons. Well, of course the poor girl was shaken. It was hard to face the truth about B.Y. and she continued believing The B.O.M. for three years, athough losing faith in the faction of mormonism she grew up in. Then another bombshell. She read M.T. Lamb's The Golden Bible and found out the B.O.M. was false too.

Which brainwashing techniques is she using? I mean I know she speaks in a slightly deadpan voice, but that is the result of years of presenting painful truths to people in the most gentle way possible, not to hypnotize them. If people are in an emotional or upset state they will not be able to have a proper discussion or understand each other. So she is always very calm and respectful, for example not exposing the temple ceremonies in case mormons are present at her talks.
