It's definetly not Chopin's Ocean Etude op 25 no12, because the Ocean is arpergios up and down the piano, this clearly isn't.

Maybe it's his own composition?? I heard he was always forced to play Chopin/Liszt by his recording label so they rarely allowed him to play any other composers..hopefully that's changing since he did some Ravel and Prokofiev on his last few CDs

I don't know the piece, bu the slow mart is in A minor, and the fast part is in D minor.

What is this commercial for? It was really cool. Y'know Yundi Li does a lot of media entertainment more so than any other pianist. Like he is on MTV and does commercials, you don't really see any other pianist doing that.

That's because Lang Lang makes pointless exaggerated expressions that ruin the piece; Even without them, his interpretations are still not good enough to match those of greater interpreters.

I suppose I agree with that. But his expressions are just his style. I mean it's not like he's a total failure at being a pianist. He's got more talent than I will ever know. Though, I didn't particularly like his ending to Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 OTherwise from that, he's not all that bad. Yundi Li is better, but Lang Lang isn't bad either. He just has his unique style of playing, that's all.

It's a different piece--not even one of the chopin etudes.

No he isn't.. It's a completely different piece, and the etude is in c minor, which this isn't (this is in d minor).

I think it's one of the preludes, but I don't know which one.
