I love the comment below that says "kids just sit all day in class", so true. And also that "socialization" comment~the kids are being exposed to some scary things in school these days. I finally decided to homeschool my 2 daughters after too many days of volunteering at their public school only to find they were being "corralled" from one place to another all day, and I know this isn't the case with all teachers but their teacher just wasn't pushing any curriculum. Homeschoolers work harder!
I would hate to be home schooled that why I go to a private catholic school and I'm in 7th grade! :) (i would feel so awkward if my parents home-schooled me I wouldn't learn anything!) my parents do everything the complicated way, and I just wouldn't listen I think the teachers also show discipline.
What "socialization" do public school parents praise? Drug use,bullying,disrespecting teachers and classmates? The herd mentality? I'm a home education father and my son learns all world views. He studies the Bible along side Darwinism. Capitalism alongside Socialism. I want my child to form his own views,not just accept that my views are the only correct views.
i am 13 and i am homeschooled. i am in highschool (i would be in 7th grade in public school) most of my school is through mail and some of it is on the computer. i ahve lots of friends and have a great social life. I go to the Gym and do lots of other stuff in town and I DONT HAVE TO DO * HOURS OF SITTING A DAY!!!
@StyleHairMyLife me too im 15 and asked my mom and it was going well untill she said you wont learn anything... and said anyone can put a book in front of them and read it
