  • Is that the newer ones GE

  • Was that an electronic bell?

  • Yup, it was.

  • I like the old ones better.

  • Me too. Believe it or not, some vintage diesels are also equipped with e-bells. Kinda silly if you ask me.

  • Yeah, the blue bonnet that works down in Phoenix has a new electronic bell, I don't know why but the tone is so annoying to me.

  • I wish I lived out west where there's BNSF, my favorite railroad, good video!!!

  • Thanks. I'm not a real fan of the BNSF myself. I prefer UP.

  • UP is also good

  • SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You could say that again lol. But I'm not a fan of BNSF orange.

  • LOL,im a semi fan

  • Brand Spanking new!!! She is gorgouse!!

  • how tall is that loco ?

  • About 16 ft. tall.

  • She's looking pretty, good job

  • Beautiful loco, thanks for posting this. Wish i lived in the US :(

  • Never mind I thought you were someone else but you should still see Roseville Yard, you can remove my first comment.

  • I would love to come railfan at Roseville Yard, but I can't because I live at least 400 miles from there in Victorville. Thanks for the comment though.

    Glenn.

  • Trust me though, it would be worth the trip, you could railfan on the Amtrak platform or next to the restored Southern Pacific

Ten-wheeler across the tracks from the station. This is one of the reason I moved closer to Roseville in 2000 when I was 6 Now that I'm 13, I can go to Rose ville alone, and railfan!!!!!!!

  • Well if anybody stupid enough to be round a train when its rolling down the tracks then let them die.

  • That was a magnificent looking locomotive. Clean, presentable, monstrous engine, and clean running. The bell was a lovely, somewhat classic sound.

  • wats the bell ringing for?

    is that a phone

  • is that thing brand new??

looks like it cuz its all shiny and pearly

no offence but those bells get on my nerves

    specially in train sim!!

  • i love it when i hear trains start like music to my ears

  • dang that thing looks brand new

cranked up and started perfectly without smoke? lol even a big rig smokes on startup

  • I believe that the ES44DC's are the newest locomotive by GE.

  • Yeah they are.

The ES40DC is new, but those units are exclusively used by Norfolk Southern.

And the ES44ACs are also new, but for BNSF & CSX, they are used for pushing coal trains.

UP, Ferromex and KCSM uses them for everything.

  • I blew out my sound system on this one!!!!! The best "eargasm" Ive had yet, Thanks!!!

  • Wow, no smoke on startup, all the EMD locomotives on here smoke when started.

  • An ES44DC is a GE, not an EMD.

  • Awesome ya goota love thoose new Gevo units.

  • I really like those GEVO. I've seen them alot in Washington state. Thanks for the showing the video and the close up of the Electronic Bell. I know how it works now.

  • So that's what an E-bell looks like. Very nice video, love the GEVO. Hell, I like anything GE.

  • Thank you for the comment! I really appreciate it! I personally enjoyed the locomotive myself!

  • Awesome!! It is rare to see a BNSF Swoosh GEVO in San Pedro, CA. Nice Electronic Bell in the picture!
