  • Creation was a decent film but I really disliked the portrayal of Huxley. No offense to Toby Jones, he's a great actor, but his character was an old malignant God-hating dwarf. It was a caricature of the real Huxley, he deserved better.

I was hoping to see some interesting events like the debate in which Huxley openly defended Darwin's theory. The film turned out to be a melodrama about Darwin's family. It was great from that point of view but they should've left Huxley out of it.

  • Very good film. NIce time lapse photography. Pigeon breeding ideas interesting. Connelly is reasonably hot.

  • I can't concentrate on anything Ben is saying when he's onscreen.

  • The video that shows what happens after death..watch "GOD'S PRISON" and see what will happen to you.

  • @SupernalOne Actually, that's essentially Deism.

  • @0lotr1freak2

really? Ach, there's nothing new under the sun

  • You know Darwin always believed in a greater power that created al life on earth, mabey he wasent a christian, but he wasent an atheist.

  • The funny thing is that Darwin didnt really prove evolution. He didnt know about DNA, which is kinda important for the theory, at least today. Yet even educated people BACK THEN, realised that he was right.

  • Saw Paul Bettany at the Apple Store in Soho with Lily Collins. Nobody/ Everybody knew who he was/ is/ Charles Darwin of "Orgins" & the real star of "Captain and Commander" & "A Beautiful Mind". Interviewer was great & knew his subject & made me repeat the title "Orgins". "Priest" will make some real bucks. Bettany was real as usual as was Lily Collins. I'm a fan of "Orgins" & glad he's making the big bucks for "Priest". Lily Collins reminds me of the female in "Inception".
  • @danger0usknowledge So what's with the big bucks already...

I take it you're either making small bucks or you're drunk.

  • @pynic29 I believe In God, and every Athiest teases me about being a servant of God, "You don't have to because he does not exist, your stupid cause even our teacher in class teaches it." At first I felt bad, then I figured a good answer to their question. Next time they asked me I replied, " I'm not stupid because If I am wrong and God is not real, then I lose nothing but what if your wrong? Riddle me that.

  • Has anyone else noticed that these 'Creationists' come across as virtually illiterate and ridiculously uneducated? Seriously in the progress we have made in science how can anyone question evolution, the bible is quite literally a story book - take it as you will.

  • So So Pity that the US doesn't get a chance to watch this movie in mainstream theaters .I downloaded this from Torrents. One of the great movies i have seen and this is on par with Beautiful mind. The lead actor is remarkably great just like Russel crow

  • Novel about an alternative view of evolution see video book trailer

  • i think this guy is gay with charles darwin

  • @RB13240

TELL ME, HOW THE HELL WERE WE CREATED BY A BANG???!!! YOU COULD THROW DYNAMITE AT THE GROUND AND YOU DON'T SEE ANYTHING! YOU COULD FLASH A LIGHT AT ROCK FOR A MILLION YEARS AND WOULDN'T MAKE ANYTHING AS UNIQUE AS THE HUMAN EYE!..IT'S OBVIOUS THAT WE HAVE A CREATOR..GOD!!!! SCIENCE CAN'T PROVE EVERYTHING..MOST THINGS BUT NOT EVERYTHING YOU PIECE OF CRAP!

  • @KiLLERBeeSaMa45 Created by a bang? WTF are you talking about? Dont tell me you are so ill read that you believe the phrase "The big bang" was a huge explosion? Because if you are - You fail spectacularly.

  • @KiLLERBeeSaMa45 Simple, we wernt created by a bang. The term "Big bang" was a derogatory term given to the theory by people who opposed the idea. There was no explosion but there was a rapid expansion of time and space.

  • Science is nothing more than a way to discover the wonders that God did!!!

I like what Randal does and this movie is nice, but ......

  • I've seen it. It's touching and a great movie.

  • Great movie

  • In fact I recommend this book to everyone here who still has faith in evolution and the universe happening by chance. "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist" by Dr. Frank Turek and Norman L. Geisler.

  • @mikeyboy86

I'm a rational thinking, compassionate human being who is very capable of seperating facts and fiction. I do not believe in evolution. I just find it the best fitting explanation for the existence of the natural world surrounding me.

  • where i can see this movie plis plis plis!!!!??

  • @sirdeltoto it is available online......getting mine from amazon.com

  • I guess that between the well educated and civilized people on earth how made the greatest progress in human civilazation, some neanderthallers still exsist that feel more comfertable believing in there cave God and fairytailes.

  • @ClusterStar woah woah woah! this isnt right! you cant insault neanderthals like that!

  • @yoyoingmonkey

I'm not insulting Neanderthalers for being what they are.

I find it insulting that modern human beings act like they do not know better :)

  • @ClusterStar

my sisters gotta get her self a youtube and stop using mine to comment! I dont like going to my inbox and seeing i got a comment on something ive never watched and someone I dont even know!

  • @yoyoingmonkey

No problem ;)..... You don't have to respond of coarse :)

  • In short, nlicj09, your proof isn't. It is old information, cherry picked and questionable (perhaps fraudulent itself?). Paleontology has moved on since Morris' arguments, and you haven't improved on them. Do visit wiki and begin learning something about the subjects you are trying to argue about; that's an easy way to start, if you are serious about doing this.

  • Also-

    • Neanderthal Man (found in a cave in the Neander Valley near

Duüsseldorf; Int’l Congress of Zoology, 1958: that of an old man

    suffering from arthritis);

    • Java Man, 1922 (1891 skull cap; 50 ft. femur (thigh) bone; concealed

    evidence; teeth were of an orangutan;

In 120 years of searching—no intermediate stages found!

  • @nlicj09: Today there are well over 60 individuals represented in the Neandertal remains. We have even recovered enough material to do a genome on them, and to show there is some small amount of their genes in many of us - likely even you.

Java man - Again, there are now many specimens, and it is H erectus. It fits right in with the continuity of Australopithecus->Homo lineage established in Africa. Don't know where you got that stuff about Orangutan teeth, but it has been buried by events.

  • “Monkey Men” Frauds

    • Heidelberg Man (built from a jawbone);

    • Nebraska Man, 1922 (Henry Osborn: from just one tooth; later

    discovered to be an extinct pig);

    • Piltdown Man, 1912 (Charles Dawson: from jawbone of modern ape;

    deliberate fraud; filed, treated with iron salts);Peking Man, 1921 (evidence disappeared; outright fraud);

  • @nlicj09: To this whole "expose", I say, "So what?" Even if these are admitted intentional frauds (and the first and last are not), it was science, not anyone else, who determined, published and proved the frauds. Men did them, just as religious men sometimes are guilty of fraud. So what?

Heidelburg Man is valid; the first find may have been just a jaw, but 50 or more specimens are now known, including nearly full skeletons. Peking man was lost (wars are hell), but was H erectus, not a fraud.

  • Death of Darwinism

Advances in microbiology, DNA, have dealt the death blow to

Darwinism. DNA is a digital code. Darwinism cannot explain the origin

of life because it cannot explain the origin of information. Irreducible

complexity refutes chance as a designer.

  • ... there are conceivable mechanisms for building up information and storing it.

"Irreducible complexity refutes chance as a designer." IR has not been proven to exist as a scientific theory in any context as yet. Get back to me when one is discovered, if ever. So far, to my knowledge, proposed IR features such as the eye, the immune system, blood clotting, the flagellum mechanism and the mouse trap have been refuted.

  • @saynotodarwin - I got more education than you, idiot, and it was not about the useless book named bible... by the way you need 40 yrs to study a book of old fairytales? I can see you have no arguments and are only able to insult people, well, you learnt pretty well from the bible indeed.

  • cool movie, saw it on #OMG Go Movie World . com #FTW

  • Excuse me everybody! this movie is not about whether god exists or not, but of Darwin's greatest discovery in the history of science. and for the record, if you've read his letters to his family, Darwin preferred the term agnostic, not atheist. If you don't believe me read his letters.

  • Excuse me everyone! this isn't about whether god exists or not, this is about Darwin's greatest discovery. And if you read his letters to his family, Darwin preferred the term agnostic, not atheist.

  • very good film. people wake up there is no god

  • 1/2 So you where born into religion cause of your family or your geographic location.

I assume your Allah is the one true god right? And all other religions are false? How do you know your right? Cause your Quran says so? Kinda like every other system of control before the idea of government. I know I cant convince you to open your eyes. Sheep, believing your book holds all the answers. I will burn for not believing your religion right? This is why we wage war? Religion and Politics!

  • 2/2 I am not pagan I was born christian. But I can see logic and it tells me that no matter who is right or wrong this will never end until we can move past a ancient human ideology like yours and others. I see that we all want answers to are existence. But science is our only true way to find out. Darwin might be wrong, you might be wrong. I wish we could advance past this and break down our walls.

I am of no religion I am Human, I am Atheist. Peace

  • So this is free if you know where to look. hint: Top Movie Share . net

  • I was once a creationist, until I began to study evolution by myself. I was at first an skeptic man toward evolution. However, as I began my investigation, I began to see the evidence. I had my debates with my friends and even with other creationists. I admit, I had shut them up as I use proper facts. For these studies, I began my interest in biology, thinking on studying Medicine, Genetics or something like that.

  • This movie better come to Hamilton, Ontario. I need to see this both for education, and entertainment purposes. I'm sure it'll be a hit here. This city has a huge Science following. Two words: "McMaster University" and a few different cinemas!

  • I can't wait to see this movie it is finally in Canada and is one day only at my local theatre.

  • DNA code is empirical proof that biological life forms are a creative product of information and language. i.e.: Nous / Logos

  • DNA isn't a code or language. It's actually very messy and far from perfect. DNA is proof for evolution. Nothing else.

  • @123Atheist

DNA is proof of nothing. Just look at the world around you. Albert Einstein, and Sir. Isaac Newton admitted that there was a higher being over seeing the creation of all of these things. It's amazing how you can just look at the details of as object and not even realize it's far too complex for it to just pop up from nothing.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Albert Einstein didn't believe in a personal God. And that is a strawman. Physicists don't know enough about the universe to assert that it was made from nothing. We also have science which clearly explains how we can get all we see from the Big Bang. Science doesn't just give up when it finds something very complex. It searches for the answer. And guess what. We have a lot of answers on how everything came to be.

  • @123Atheist Ha, your enthusiasm is amusing, yet your godly scientist still can't understand the full extent of the simplest cell, not fully understand gravity, heck we are still trying to find out if E = mc2 is fact. The truth is whether you want to believe it or not is that nothing is simple and not everything can be figured out no matter how much research or studying you do human kind WILL NEVER understand everything.

  • @123Atheist Again it's far to complex ask any scientist and have him tell you with complete assurance "Yes, we understand everything about cells and deceases. Like cancer, diabetes, H.I.V. , asthma, influenza, ebola, lupus erythematosus, Polio, even the common cold"

I know you gonna be like "So?" again so I'll explain.

If mankind can't even understand the full extent of these how could you prove something as complicated as an evolution of species?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 There's something called evidence, which shows us that evolution happened. Scientists may have gaps in their knowledge, but they know enough to realize that evolution happened.

  • @123Atheist I'm just wondering what is the 'missing link' anyway did they find it or... ?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 I can give you an answer, but we need to narrow down what you want. Are you asking for a transitionl species that can show the transition between two types of animals, or are you looking specifically for a transitional fossil between humans, and their common ancestors with chimpanzees. Or are you looking for THE common ancestor between humans and chimps. Asking for a "missing link" is somewhat vague.

  • @123Atheist One it's 'transitional' and Two I mean the link between fish and man or whatever...

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 One good example is Tiktaalik. Tiktaalik is a fish, but it represents the transition from fish to land. First of all it has fins like a fish, but these fins have basic wrist bones and simple fingers. this shows that it could push itself up. It also has muscle facets showing that they were muscular, and that they could most likely do push ups. It also has spiracles which show that it might have has lungs, as well as gills, just like a few moderns species...

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Fish to man? Are you one of those religious people who purposely refute sections of something to make it sound silly? No one is claiming there was a transition to fish to man. If you want examples of fish to land read a book on the subject. Don't go on youtube, and ask regular people because most of the time they will not know. There are more examples then the one 123Atheist pointed out if you look.

  • @adam11mpls I do speak to regular people i point out the fact about religion and they point out facts about evolution the end game is they never answer my questions neither do people on the internet or anywhere else. So what am I suppose to do?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Most likely a scientist has answered questions you have so it would be smart to watch presentations by biologists online or read a book on evolution.

  • @adam11mpls I've done some research and for out even year more and more scientist (and former Athist) are beginning to believe in a higher being more specifically a god not a personal one but it's a start. :/

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 No that wasn't what I meant. You have a very low knowledge of evolution, and if you have questions about evolution then seek the answers.

  • @adam11mpls I'm not looking for answers I'm just looking for personal opinions so I can properly explain my views vs yours.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Personal opinion of who? I see you're being willfully ignorant which is sad.

  • @adam11mpls I'm not gonna insult you like you did me because obviously you misunderstood me. If I listen to what you believe I can more suitably explain what I believe in a way you'll understand.

  • @adam11mpls Fine, Look think about it evolution is through mutation right? Well, take this into consideration whether you like it of not Mutation doesn't help in anyway. Mutants either die out because that can not live in their natural habitat or their genetic mutation doesn't allow them to breed. Facts are fact you can't just cover your ears and Yell "YOUR IGNORANT!" and hope that it goes away OKAY?! Now what is your PERSONAL OPINION ON THE MATTER!?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 You're evidence is?

  • @adam11mpls A nearly century old study that was funded by Asia, America and Eurpore. That was guaranteed to speed up the evolutionary possess and cause a remarkable step forward in the evolutionary theory. Decades of study and the results were any of the animals that DID have a genetic mutation were killed my the stronger more dominate species or could not reproduce any offspring therefore making evolution impossible. Now then *Your personal opinion on the matter?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 One failed 100 year old study has nothing to do with whether evolution is true or not. Also, mutation does help organisms in some cases and there is evidence to support it. If you truly want to understand evolution and why it is currently the only accepted scientific theory, don't take all your information from creationist websites, which alter and misrepresent facts to support their flawed position.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 That wasn't fucking proof. You literally just said that a study was concluded for 100 fucking years, funded by 3 continents, and this disproved genetic mutation. No sources, no evidence, little detail. How stupid are you? Well, there was a study concluded by over 9000 scientists at least one hundred years ago, funded by top men. The study concluded that humans are in fact reptiles. Now fuck off you homophobic 12 year old.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 And stop asking for my "personal opinion", opinions don't mean anything compared to facts, something you aren't too familiar with.

  • @adam11mpls Mutation isn't logical calling me names won't change that. Now when you ready to grow up I'll be glad to listen to what ever you have to say.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 You failed at even giving a link to some creationist website. Give me the well credited, peer reviewed, major scientific institution that made this study. You can't do it. You know why? Because it doesn't exist. If it did then the rest of science would follow, but of course it hasn't as the vast majority of scientists accept evolution. It's hard to take someone who hates gays and doesn't accept an extremely well supported theory seriously.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 As for DNA being proof for evolution. There's ERV's, pseudogenes, and comparative genetics, that are proof for evolution. Pseudogenes being the best piece of evidence, because it is undeniable. Animals still carry genes that were once needed in their evolutionary past. For example, chickens have genes for making teeth. They just don't get activated.

  • @123Atheist Yeah, right, just because we have similarities to the making of animals it doesn't excuse the fact that humans can out to be humans from the first creation.

I do have a question though, if evolution is such a fact then why aren't we seeing it happen? I mean there has to be some 'missing link' I believe is the term is, where everything fits together from ape to man?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Sorry I didn't see your previous comment. Let me ask you to be clear. You want every single fossil, of every single transition from our common ancestor to us? Or would let's say a dozen different species please you?

  • @123Atheist Look man i don't know a lick of nothing when it come to... whatever whacky religion this is. I guess I'm look for the common ancestor?

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 Evolution isn't a religion, it is an established scientific fact, just like gravity or atoms. That is why over 95% of scientists accept it.

  • @TheAgentdrknite007 It also has a stronger ribcage that shows that it spent some time on land. and it also has a neck which fish lack. It shares many common features between fish and tetrapods, that is why it is a transitional fossil.

  • @123Atheist

DNA is the coded instructions to tell life how to exist -

  • @SupernalOne No it isn't. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Watch "Answering the 15 Questions Pamphlet Part 1" (at around 7:14) and part 2 of that too. Both on lapkine77. It'll do you justice to watch all four parts though. They can explain how DNA isn't a code or instructions better than I can, and the give references for their sources.

  • @Mr88playmaker Um no its not

  • @Mr88playmaker

Must of been written in Perl.

Or God is a shitty programmer

  • (A) Information is: the communication or reception of knowledge or intelligence.

    (B) Information exist independent of its medium.

(the same information can be stored in one's mind, expressed verbally, written on paper, typed on a computer etc.)

    (C) Code = Language. Language originates in a MIND.

There ore only two types of language known to man: (1) That of human mind origin (2) DNA code.

Information is not matter or energy.

Language is not matter or energy.

  • So wrong, it's ganz falsch. Look up "digital physics", if that's what you're getting at. Everything you've said is necessarily wrong.

  • i seen this movie it was pretty good.

  • That will be great! The probelm is that it will awake a lot of studip bastard bigots.

  • oh man i cant wait to see this movie ;D

  • @oxyaena, u think voodoo and devil worship caused haiti's earthquake?... seriously?! tell me u r joking...

  • Haha made my day!

  • Darwin "was " Christian, but he really was not,, when mother died he felt terrible, that live had no sense, and then started to fall in depression, and started to hate everything.(thats why he always shows a sad face), so he started to study things and travel, and then conclude his theory.

  • i'm the "dumbtard?" because I can think for myself and accept that the teachings that were taught to me and are widely accepted by most people as false lies, I in fact have a bible in front of me, and let me tell you this book is far from being fact, true, or even logical since it repeatedlly contradicts itself and promotes racism, sexism, murder, the list goes on and on. I'm not saying it's your fault you were lead to believe lies, just i'm saying wake up. The bible and religions are lies.

  • also, I almost forgot to mention, you know the bible contradicts itself, so as your logic dictates, it must be false (which us smart people know already) thank you for proving the point, even if you did use the wrong method to get there, this isn't math class, you don't have to show your work, as long as you find the right answer :D

    right answer= bible is bullshit

  • so you're saying we should stone gays and disobediant children to death, it's ok to sell your daughter into slavery, and that the world is only 6 thousand years old? i have a simpler answer for you, the bible is false and anyone who refutes that is a moron, go commit yourself, please.

  • then you are bat shit crazy and need to be treated as such, good day crazy person.

  • so the stories of one man that have been backed up by numerous studies and thousands of scientists over the generations vs the false stories written thousands of years ago by evil men wanting to control morons like you. Fact the bible is false, has been proven so on so many occasions, fact there's evidence of evolution and all studies point to that conclusion, and even those are questioned. I've read your bible and the theories of evolution, anyone with common sense knows the bible is bullshit

  • the bible is false stories written by man to lead idiots like you into believing it's story, i truly feel for you

  • how the fuck do these people know what Darwin was like?

  • Because of his diaries that he wrote about his life experiences. He wrote alot about his life, like his experience on the hms beagle (ship) which he travelled around the world, he wrote alot about his children in his diaries/journals too, especially Emma (his daughter), he wrote about everything in his life even his sicknesses.

  • Comment removed

  • @lilgrlkissesnhugs Sorry correction Not EMMA, ANNIE i meant, he did write about his wife Emma as well though.

  • Creation captures the tragedy and suffering of human and animal existence in this world which some say was created by a divine and perfect creator.

  • @JohnPurchaseArt what's ur point?

  • The guy who plays Charles Darwin is the same person who played in Master and Commander.

  • You prole mark down the truth and hate it but it's still there you try to hide it and someone somewhere finds it your truths are not all science OK science cannot even explain there own gravity And for someone that sent me and e mail my god is not big but great' And yes you cannot see it because you are blinded by your own hate.

  • just for the record, they know how gravity works, google it

  • We evolve and adapt according to our environment...bloody hell! No hope for the human race then!!

  • lol

  • poor people like me where brought into the imagination of a loving god.

  • Just watched the film CREATION at the cinema tonight. It was Absolutely brilliant and very sad and moving. Please try and watch it.

  • The scene with the Orang-Utan was incredible. I cried!

  • Show this in the US Please

P.S. for the haters Charles did come up with evolution (witch is true by the way) but its his one inner struggles is what this movie is about (Creation)

  • Charles didnt come up with the concept of Evolution - his grandfather Erasmus already came up with the ideas through observation - Charles developed the theory & went one step further when HE came up with the theory of "Natural Selection" - so you could say that Evolution is Darwinian but not limited to Charles:)

  • Or at least, it WAS Darwinian until we discovered DNA and the like

  • The first to postulate the concept of Evolution was Democritus and Leucippus 400 BC.

  • @DeityDestroyer WRONG, THE HINDUS HAD IT BEFORE THAT

  • I'd be very interested to learn more.

Could you point me in a direction.

    Thanks.

  • @DeityDestroyer /watch?v=6dqbfB7MO60 there's a start or simply google it, there's info

  • I bet the only reason it never really took off then too was because of religious thinking. Who knows though. But even in Darwin's time, he was not the only one to put forth those ideas.

  • @lazarush1980 Anaximander came up with a crude evolutionary hypothesis in about 560bc. More relevant was the book that set the scientific community alight in 1844, Robert Chambers, 'Vestigages of the Natural History of Creation'.

  • Your Magical Sky Daddy/Mommy does not exist... Wouldn't we have seen him/her by looking at the sky? Also, hypothetically speaking "if there is a GOD." Big "IF," then who made your "GOD?" Lastly, you can't just create yourself because matter does not "disappear" or "appear" out of no where.

FYI: Human kind has been to the moon, we didn't see a Magical sky daddy/mommy.

  • stop talking jibbadabber....if you dont like darwim get of this video.

  • bI here the cries from the babies mothers womb I here the cries from prison and from the homeless from the people that are trying to make the war machine stop with signs and hope for change regardless of whos listening to them I hope you here me soldie because america is hurting there building your graves and marking them with a number is everything your doing worth the price you have to pay for law makers that do not even no your name.

    Please help us

  • So is it not a man that you and others see there or not if he is dead if they say they seen him and you no you did than where is he?

Heaven allows peoples loved one to say and do things before they go you call them ghosts so there also lies like me right?

  • Can a hawk catch a rabbit if it's blind?

  • no if you blindly believe you will stay.

  • stfu please

  • there is a bible written in your heart just look for it.

There is knowledge of what is wright and what is wrong try and feel it.

There is knowledge of heaven if you just believe it.

There is knowledge of science if you study it.

only death comes to those that stand in wonder of it.

Love is the key to your bible that's in every heart just start turning the pages in it.

  • So I should blindly believe that when I die I will magiclly be transported into a kingdom in the clouds?

Also, science comes if you just look around the world. It makes sense, unlike your bible.

  • I agree, the bible was created as a law, to promote morals and respect others. But in the end, there is no afterlife.

  • oh? then why does it promote bigotry slavery hatred and murder?

  • I think the bible was created to put civil order in the masses. It gave people the sence that if they kill others. They will be punished in the after life.

  • Wow i find it incredible that people still believe in God...i really do.

Notice how most of them are Americans..

  • yeah it's sad how blindly most of us follow those lies

  • Ahahaha!

    Dude, chromosomes?

You mean one of the undeniable evidences FOR Evolution?!

We share the same chromosomes as many other primates, hell, chromosome number 2 is a MERGE between two primate chromosomes!

  • [chr number 2 is a MERGE between two primate chromosomes ]

Nope, chr 2 is a fusion of 2 HUMAN chromsosomes.

    Per wikipedia chimpanzee_genome_project

At the site of fusion, there are approximately 150,000 base pairs of sequence not found in chimpanzee chromosomes 2A and 2B. Additional linked copies of the PGML/FOXD/CBWD genes exist elsewhere in the HUMAN genome, particularly near the p end of chromosome 9. .. these genes added to the end of the ancestral 2A or 2B PRIOR to the fusion event

  • watch?v=zi8FfMBYCkk

  • By Ken Miller's indisputable logic, two species with different chr numbers cannot have common ancestry unless fused chromosomes account for the difference.

Therefore the first two 48 chromosome apes were created.

Cats and dogs cannot conceivably have a common ancestor.

Miller blows away 99 percent of Darwin in 5 minutes.

  • if you're saying there were more than one organism starting the "branche(s) of life" then you are turning science on its head. otherwise, since there is only one branch through which all creatures evolved, all creatures must have a common ancestor far enough down the line

  • Chromosomes do not evolve. Never did. never will.

  • Chromosomes don't evolve?

Go take away Barbara McClintock's Nobel Prize and tell her chromosome's don't evolve.

  • That was the case with apes and hominids. He did not blow away Darwin, he confirmed. Don't know how you managed to misconstrue what he said. Cats and dogs at some point certainly do have a common ancestor. So do human beings and rats if you go back far enough.

  • What Miller said, concerning apes/humans, is "if it (fusion) is not there, evolution is wrong."

    Cats have 2n=38, dogs 2n=78.

Cats would need 20 fusions to have a common ancestor with dogs.

  • I haven't looked into it, but it would not surprise me. Cats and dogs aren't as closely related I would think as chimps and humans.

  • Then you seem to agree with Miller (and me). If the 20 fusions are not there, evolution (in the case of cats and dogs) is wrong.

  • Yes and no. With dogs and cats you'd have to go further back to near where they branched. The chromosome numbers would likely be different there, and if they both share a direct common ancestor which they may not, like I said I haven't looked into it. If they do, the chromosome numbers would probably be a lot closer, and there may indeed be fusing.

  • [if they both share a direct common ancestor, which they may not]

An interesting admission. chromomsome numbers appear to wreck Darwin's theory, maybe 99 percent of the time.

  • Really? You have anything to back up that statement? Because nothing Miller said disagrees with evolution at all.

  • What Miller says is that the fused chromosome saves evolution from being disproven in the case of apes and humans.

This amounts to an admission that the first two 48-chromosome apes were created and maybe humans evolved from them (as if an end-to-end fusion in a gamete was ever successful).
