i just did this myself. since its a "windows update", you wont lose any of your files. just think of it as a regular update..just that it takes longer. your comp will just update and restart itself after the install..nothings lost.

Well Windows 7 is still in beta but it's better than Vista as far as performance, if your computer can handle Vista fine then go for Vista since it is a stable OS and get Windows 7 when it is out of beta. Really it's up to you though.

SP2 is not a visual improvement, its just there to make the OS more stable due to Vista being released far to early. Nice Vid.

I agree windows 7 is a lot quicker than windows vista original, vista service pack 1 or vista service pack 2. I partitioned my friend's hard drive and it boots up and shuts down I would say about 30% quicker. I can't wait until windows 7 is great I believe it is more stable than Vista or xp could ever hope to be.

I downloaded Vista SP2 and it fouled up my Magic Jack. It's only when I uninstalled it and restored my laptop to a day before that I was able to resume using the Magic Jack.

Finally Vista is getting good now :)

A clean pre-Vista install with SP2 on it, is so much faster than 7, plus 7 RC gives me low ratings, 7 Beta high ratings, and Vista, in the middle... :S

Yes, I would like to know what File type can produce the best quality able to run, I mix up so much from AVI to MPEG1/2, WMV, I don't know... If you have any idea it would be appreciated :)

There Really is No Difference between AVI Mpeg And WMV These are More of just a Codec Shell.... If you are looking for Higher Quality you Will need to Produce / render Your Video into HD formats.
