I heard that there is a rumor floating about that the New York City MTA is going to computerize their subway trains. Does anyone out there know if this is the case because that would be totally awesome! Someone please get back to me in reference to this matter in their own good time. Thank you.

what are the express tracks used for?

the express tracks are used for to bypass Canal Street and when bypass in Brooklyn bound side, it does to the lower level city-hall which is abandoned while when doing to queens, the rail switches to the local track.

@Weegee010 No Trains use the Canal street Express Track on the Broadway Subway because the express to queens is available in the Bridge Level of Canal Street. The express track of that station is unused to City Hall lower level to the dead end of the City Hall Station.
