Unless the members of Metallica come right out and say "The music we made was not music we enjoyed writing or playing, we just made it in order to get money" they are not sellouts. As long as they wrote what they felt, and did what they personally wanted, just because people loved it doesn't make them sellouts. Thank you./
@xXxTYMANxXx : Im not really a Megadeth TILL DEATH fan!! I love Metal music, and a fact that METAL should never go sellout like Fuckin Metallica!! I love Megadeth, but i also love Pantera,Slayer,Anthrax,Judas Priest,Alice in Chains,Skid row...
@exkstreme All righty then, I respect your oppinion. But Metallica didn't really sell out. They just broadened their horizons and experimented with different music styles. Yeah some people liked it and some people didn't, but if you think 'Tallica sold out, I'll leave you to your oppinion. And sorry, I just thought you were another one of those dumbasses who trash on Metallica just because of the feud between the two bands.
@xXxTYMANxXx Well actually they did sell out, they decided to change their music just because they wanted more money, hence: sell outs. Its a definite statement.
@ixcaliber When they changed up their style, they just happened to receive more money for it because they became more popular when they did. You get money when people like your music. How much money do you think Slayer or Megadeth is making? A lot. (I assume) Because people like their music. Besides, it's good for bands to experiment, if Metallica stayed the same, for me, it would've gotten stale. Don't get me wrong I love the old stuff, but I also love the new stuff.
@exkstreme Learn some history (Wikipedia doesn't bite as well as closely following bands you claim to love). Dave used to be so obsessed with getting #1 on Billboard he literally let some guys from the label record entire Risk for him. Of course it was a disaster, yet he was driven by greed of being commercially the best which is quite a definition of being sell-out, isn't it? You probably wasn't even in your parents plans back then, so stop spreading bullshit, m'kay?
