  • I have a 1938 John Deere A puller... It has a 9.5" stroke x 7" bore which is 730ci... this being a G its very possible to get 970ci out of it that would be a 7.75" bore and a 10.25" stroke... i know of a G that pulled back in 08 that was 1100ci which was 8.125" bore x 10.75" stroke... so it can be done you just have to know how to build a pulling tractor

  • what model is this

  • why does he get to go so fast. what class is this in

  • I'm not sure what the rules are out west but I'm guessing this is what we call a Division 4 tractor. (Which is non-pace.) I can't tell what for weight he has on the back but judging by whats on the front, alum. wheels, 18.4X34's I would say this around 5500lbs and he's probably in 4th gear.

  • I think it is 970 cubes.

  • I doubt it's 970. At 7.5" bore X 10" stroke is only 883. I know of no one who is making a block larger than 7.5" and if that the case it would be at 11" stroke. Unless he has removed his camshaft and replaced it with an "electronic" solution...there is no way. Not saying that it can't be done...but I doubt it.

  • How many cubes are you?

  • It isnt my tractor, so I dont know for sure how big it is. I think it has a JWMS block, and I dont know the stroke.
