  • was this right in the kill zone or spine i might get a 300wsm but am not sure if i want that or the 300win mag cuz there is more ammo avalable and i dont reload rifle which has more takedown power and and which has more recoil and what are the benefits of eighter one if you reply it would be greatly appreciated and great video

  • Yummy backstrap!

  • Press 8 for THE KILL

  • I have a Winchester Model 70 (.300 win mag), and I can attest to the knock down power of this gun. I've never had a deer move even a foot after the shot was taken.

  • Nice shot...I too have a 300wsm...I hope to be leaving for the last of the gun season this week...I just hope i'll see atleast 1 more doe before wednesday.

  • good shot nice to see it go down without suffering. Good stuff.

  • @maddenboy21 300 WSM + anything that stands = ownage

  • .300 WSM + Deer= Meat in the freezer!

  • Comment removed

  • High shoulder shot does it every time .243, or .308 mag. dont seem to matter much, except extreme long range and or wind to mess up shot placement. looks like tenderloin and gravy for supper! any body know what tune is playing in the background and the artist?

  • Well placed shot!perfect dead centre shoulder, never fails me

  • @Stag2506 i always aim dead center shoulder and the drop every time. its a beautiful thing not having to track em!

  • very ethical. nice shoot

  • thats the way an animal is to be taken. Exellent shot, good music, good video, nice deer.

  • if i were to shoot someone with the same gun as you from 500 yards centermass, would they die just as fast as that deer?

  • @t88boost What are you? Some guy with a bloodlust to kill a human being?

  • @ramdslpwr lol nah, i own an ar 15. my best three shot spread from 500yds is 5 feet 3 inches.. i couldnt even hit someone in the head from that distance. wen i see someone make a nice shot like yours, i wonder if youre a contract killer on the side.

  • @t88boost Tsk tsk tsk.. nope.. just a average hunter that likes long range shooting. Shot my first elk this past year with this same gun at 435 yards. One shot through the lungs and she died in about 50 yards. This shot was actually under 100 yards but I love the long ranges out here in the west. Check out my other vids for some long range shots. Shot a gofer with this gun as well at 185 yards... lol

  • @ramdslpwr dam it must have been dismantled after u shot it. i shoot gophers with a pellet gun. im a novice, but my range wont let me use ''human'' shaped targets. wat scope do u have?

  • @t88boost Lol.. yep it did. There were pieces 30 feet all around it... I have a Nikon 4.5-16 X 42

  • @t88boost Get a good scope if you dont have one and remember breath and let the trigger crack while slowly applying more pressure. Do not squeeze it to fast or your grouping will suck.

You should be able to put a 6" group at 500 yards with most guns in good conditions.

  • @ramdslpwr ....I fought in Iraq and this guy has NO IDEA what it feels like to take a human life or he wouldn't be asking such stupid ass questions.

Anyway, I have a Savage 300wsm,Leupold VX-I w/Winchester Supreme ammo(Red Ballistic tips NOT Silver) and I LOVE it. That ammo leaves exit wounds BIGGER than my fist. I have killed many deer with it and every deer but one dropped in their tracks. The one only went 40 yards. It was a big buck bullet didn't mushroom but double lunged & heart

  • By the way, that Winchester Supreme ammo with the red ballistic tip is wicked. I dropped a little 70lb deer in VA by hitting it in the hind quarter and it dropped like I had blown his heart out. I'm from MI so I'm not used to 70lb deer but it was still bad ass. When I saw that exit wound and it was big enough to fit my fist into, I was sold on that Winchester Supreme. I shot another deer that I hit in the neck and almost decapitated it. There was 1" of flesh above and below the hole....LOL

  • @ramdslpwr

Do you eat any type of meat. Hunting has gone on for thousands of years. Relax it wiil be ok.

  • You Suck

    !@

  • i can do the same thing with a 30-06 sprig, or a .243wssm in fact i do it every deer season

  • You used a 300 WSM to take down a white-tail... was there any meat left after you shot it?

  • hippies cant complain about that being cruel

  • Nice shot, dead heart shot.. I shoot a 300 WM myself, almost every shot is a drop.. Thanks for post...

  • i dont know whats with all the other vids on youtube of deer running away after being hit but so far ive shot 3 deer with the 7 mm mag, 1 with the .303 british and 1 with a 30-06 and every single one of them to date has went down exactly like this. ps good shot, clean kill

  • @deadtofall666 if you hit them in the lungs they run you musta hit em in the heart spin head or neck.

  • @jjnkarebear actualy 300 wsm don't gut the deer like the plane Jane 300mag the entry and exit holes are the same size well for ballistic tips any way I havent shot any full metal jackets yet

  • ...and dinner is served!

  • Damn, I guess you can't beat a rifle that guts on impact.

  • lol gotta love hydrostatic shock

  • lovely. but you must of stunk, cause that deer was on to you lol

  • damn dropped his ass i likey this gun!

  • shoulda used the ballistic tips it really drops em at far distances thing is there 40$ a box

  • lol the other deer is like wtf where did she oh shit runnnn

  • I shot 1 moose at 6 yards, 1 moose at 56 yards, and 1 moose at 505 yards and the all droped in there tracks with my 300 wsm. Wicked gun wouldnt trade it for anything else and I had lots of guns to try.....

  • @Ladybug83 how loud is a 300 wsm compared to a 30-06?

  • im thinking about getting one of these in a browning xbolt. hehe

  • well done!

  • nice kill!

  • one and done

  • I have something to say 30-06 and 308 are the best for deer hunting and the 30-06 is best for the far shots it's got more velocity to it wen it comes out of the muzzle but if it's a far shot say 500yrds it slows down and makes for a better spread wen it hits... epic shooting dood

  • Quick and Clean Well Done

  • Nice shooting tex i only wish u coulda got the one behind him too haha happy huntin

  • oh come on you could have used a 243 and it would have been the appropriate size the meat would have been wasted

  • Great cartridge!

  • Nice n clean !! Time to get out the smoker!! MMM,MMM!!

  • A good clean shot..good job

  • ouch...You are very disciplined i would have shot too early. Shoulda tried and gunned down his buddy too haha but then ud be out of fun for a while and it would cost ya. good shot

  • Great shot! Perfect placement, no suffering.

  • what round are you shooting? I got my 70 when they first released this cartridge and it was only in silvertip ballistic(now i use superx).

  • nice but would have been better without music

  • @GoldenBmxTeam hahaha haha u couldnt even handle huntin you would rather be on the golden tricycle team hah wat a raunchy puss..

  • GREAT SHOT MAN. Props to you. I saw the impact, and it was right in the chest cavity. How it should be. good job man.

  • Thats a fat ass doe

  • of all the ballistics ive seen, the 300 WSM is the best round for North American game. fast, powerful, and flat flying.

  • what other to the Winchester Magnum

  • i taken out 3 deer with this gun and the all of them fell in plact one acyualy flipped and dropped.

  • perfect shot 1 shot dropped him just how i like it least amount of pain for the animal

  • perfect placement.. cant go to far with a blown out shoulder!!!

  • Great shot........ that means meat in the fridge..

    Yummy...

  • you should of killed the other doe too

  • GREAT SHOT!! Video was nice and clear too, i like it!! ... Need anything Firearm Related?? check out my channel!

  • 300 wsm+ deer= ownage

  • @maddenboy21 im 14 and got a kimber 8400 300 short mag and droped a deer shooting right at the heart thing didnt do any thing just droped i love this gun!

  • @maddenboy21 noooo shit..

  • Right on. Perfect shot :)

  • nice shot.how many grain was that bullet?

  • Nice version of the "Flint Hill Special" and nice shot.

  • Humane Kill.... Text Book Shot.... Congrats

  • Good shot, bit of overgunned no?

to metalfan, maybe quit roadhunting and get into the bush and still hunt. its their instinct to run and get away. you gotta be faster.

  • drilled the bitch lol

  • NICE shot what make of gun?

  • Winchester short-mag 300

  • i cant beleive he didint even twitch

  • haha buddy, you just put a whole new meaning to the word drilled. great shot.

  • im a hunter and i have no problem killing a deer but it's sad to watch such a beautiful animal die

  • touchdown, that was text book right there

  • just shoot what ever cartridge you want as long as its legal dead is dead the deer wont know the diffrence just make clean kill like he did and bring home the venison.

  • i really wish you wouldnt put over a minute of the deer walking around, you know all we care about is the shot n kill.

  • Nice shot...

  • Very ethical kill, and great shot placement.

  • good shoot men

  • u can see the bullet impact fairly clear...very well placed...perfect ;)

  • Good hunt and i liked the soundtrack, too.

  • did you spine the deer b/c ive never had one drop like that GOOD SHOOT too

  • Right through the lungs. Near side shoulder was the only bone broken. Calm deer + massive shock = instant death. The bullet did not even exit the far side.

  • @reconnaissancesniper it doesnt hurt that he is shooting a 300 mag much but still a great shot good kill

  • @reconnaissancesniper Hydrostatic shock. IF you hit them right they'll drop like that. Lungs possess a cavity for the concussion to be greater and to shock the animal's central nervous system and compress all the fluids and create an over pressure. I've never done it with a deer but i've hit a few boar like that that have dropped them from a .308 nearly as still as that deer.

  • Great shot dude

  • the way the deer stifed up was so quick insta kill for the little guy. They way the other deer was like wtf and bounce yall

  • the 300 seems to do a hell of a good job, but did you have any meat loss with it?

what type of bullet did you use?

  • 150 grain Remington Core lokt

  • thank you, what about meat loss?

  • .243 win 100gr is the greatest deer caliber up to 500 yards. It doesn't kick, ammo is cheap, a Remington model7 youth is light and tiny & costs $300 and power is great. 100gr boattail, 3100fps, 2134ft/lbs and only 5' drop at 500 yards so it's super flatshooting too.

  • depends what sort of deer you are shooting

  • Bambi :)

    I wouldn't use .243WIN on Moose at 500 yards.

  • lol yeah i wouldnt use it on samber at 200 yards

  • I shoot 200 with bigbore airgun.

    200+ with 243win.

    400+ with 270win

600+ I won't try because it might injur the animal.

  • i learned bambi is acctually a buck.. for the longest time iv always though bambi was a female =/

  • For some reason I never noticed Bambi's penis when I was watching the cartoon :)

But you know unlike humans the prettier sex in animals is always the male, like lions, cats, birds...

  • a .243 with 100gr boat tail will drop about 30 inches at 500 yards with a 300 yard zero, not bad but i wouldnt call it super flat shooting.

  • 243WIN 100gr BTSP@3100fps@2133ft/lbs@2000' altitude@70degree temp: If zeroed at 300yards(which is an uncommon distance to zero in) it'll drop: 9.73"@ 400 25.62" @ 500 48.57"@600 Compare to 300WIN 150gr SP@3280fps@3583ft/lbs. Zeroed @ 300 yards will drop: 8.68"@ 400 22.83"@ 500 43.28"@ 600 Now do you think 3 to 5" difference at 500 and 600 yards is worth going from light, pleasant 243 to heavy, expensive, loud 300win mag?
  • Yes for sure but it all comes down to what your going to shoot, and my comment was in reply to your other comment where u said a .243 was the best deer rifle out to 500 yards and only drops 5 inches at that range which isnt correct, unless you miss typed it or something.

  • I didn't mistype, you misread!

    I wrote 5 feet not 5 inches :)

With different bullets different drop ofcours.

    Being best, I meant overall 243 & 308 are2 best. Accuracy+power+rifle's weight+ammo cost+fun to shoot degree+drop at ditance.

  • having gone back and had a look at ur other comment u did indeed write 5 feet. The 243 and 308 are certainly a fine cartridge but like i said it all comes down to wot ur going to shoot,if u want to shoot bigger stuff u need something with more authority.A 300 mag will shoot anything a 243 can but not vice versa

  • Yep, we were talking about the deer in the film.

Obviously for a moose at 500 yards 243 is not humane.

We can always go bigger at a cost. A 50cal BMG or 408 Cheytac can do what a 300win mag can but not vise versa that's if we're shooting a rhino from 3 miles distance :)

I still prefer a Remington model 7 youth 243win and 100gr, BTSP bullet for deer within 400 yards.

As far as ballistics and accuracy, I shoot 300 yards with my airgun so all firearms feel super-accurate to me.

  • 243 is one of my favorite gun and have trusted them without question over the years but even at that saying it is good up to 500 yards whether or not it drops 5 feet. it is not good up to 500 yards. great accurated gun but after 400 yards with no wind is about the limit

  • Personally I never shoot at any animal 500 yards away because shot is risky and may break animal's leg or leave him injured running in pain.

But as far as sufficient power the 100gr BTSP has 832 ft/lbs of energy left at 500 yards.

It takes about 300 ft/lbs energy to safely kill a medium-sized deer with a heart/lung shot.

These days deer are so domesticated that you can walk withing 20 feet of them before they run. Just a while ago I parked my car 50 yards from a pack of 70 antelopes in AZ.

  • well that also depends on where you live. the area i live in here in oregon the deer are quite skittish from the years of being hunted in the same areas.

as my comment about the 243 i wasnt referring whether or not it packed enough energy to kill a deer at that range but still 832 ft/lbs in even mild wind at that range it is not going to be very accurate. accuracy is what i was focusing on

  • IThe last 2 areas I've lived: San Francisco Northbay/sonoma county I got within 12' of deer before he stopped eating & jumped back, in Arizona I got within 50 yards of 70 or so antelopes while they were all looking at me.

Regarding accuracy I shot an 8x11" sheet with 40gr .22LR from 320 yards so assuming with a flatshooting 243win 100gr I should easily double that distance.

    I'm not doubting that a .338 Labua or 408 cheytac can't outdo a .243, my point was: overall ease/cost/fun/weight/accuracy

  • correction : .338 Lapua

  • not where i live:) the deer around south west ga see you and they're gone

  • That's because in Marin County they hug the trees, in Georgia/Virginia/S. Carolina they hug their shotguns and rifles :)

  • here in alberta as soon as the white tail see you they r gone

  • @ramdslpwr try 130 gr barnes tipped triple shock x bullet 3500 fps 3500+ knockdown power

  • @ramdslpwr use those in my 30 06. best bullet for the price. killed 5 this year and dropped every last one of them

  • well yep . mmmmm preaty damn strong caliber

  • I am definitely not anti-hunting (especially if you eat what you kill) but it sure is a pity deer are such nice looking creatures!

Here in Australia I will only ever go feral animal shooting - deer are ferals here, pigs, foxes, goats etc. Will shoot a roo if they're a pest in the area..

  • wow!

  • amazing

  • Excellent shot!

  • i gotta tikka t3 lite in the 300wsm best gun i ever owned..i use it still hunting and running dogs and i killed 7 deer with it never had to track one down

  • i just bought a remington 700/ .300WSM today dont have a scope yet. but went ahead and shout it i expected more of a kick from it but i think its going to b a good long distance rifle. but i really wanted a

.300 win mag but this will have to work for now. nice shot.

  • But this will have to work for now? The WSM has more range and knockdown power. I'm getting my 300win mag the very beginning of next month

  • Wow, this is an amazingly clear video; you can actually see the exact spot the deer got hit. Also good timing with when you turn the camera to the other deer.

  • my uncle has a .325wsm he shot to a litle hog and when we open it hasn't heart and the lungs was exploded

i means a short magnum is the best rifle to kill every animal

  • OOOOOO!!!!! Nice work man!

  • If you get the Remington in 7mm, I think you'll be happy. I rifle of choice is a .300 WSM, I never have to look for a deer that ran, I drop'em in their tracks. I hate walking thru brush looking for deer cause someone with me is using a .243, it never fails.

  • how would it do loaded with 110gr buli i use in my 30.06

  • NOOO!!! NOT BAMBI'S MOTHER!

    Just kidding.

I have the R700 XCR too, also for 300, but we use it for generally bigger things than deer.

  • look at the face she looks like a lil doe

  • Hell ya nice shot!!!!!!

  • That was a good kill... didnt even twitch... bet that was some damn fine meat. I always hate it when someone gives me deer meat from a wounded deer... tastes like crap

  • LOL how the second deer sees the camera and bolts

  • dead is dead...good point. i was thinking that it would waist meat. and theres not that much meant on a deer anyway. Remington 700 is a nice rife. I want to get one in a 7mm. Anyway good hunting to you :)

  • dont you think a 300 is to much gun for a doe? even for a deer in that matter. i use it for elk and moose. why not go with a 243 or 7mm-08 if you want the flat shooting smaller game rifle

  • Yeah it's a bit much, but hey dead is dead right? Actually I have a 270 that I usually use for whitetails, but the 300 was a gift and is in the Remington 700 XCR which is alot nicer then my $200 Savage. Kinda like using the Cadillac over the Geo Metro to get to work. Both get you there but the one is a lot nicer to drive.

  • Holy Crap it went down right away and that wasnt really a vital shot. If you shot a deer there with a 243 it would be twitching and kicking but your 300 knocked it flat down.

  • you see how the back legs kicked under the doe...it was a heart shot

  • Believe it or not that bullet did not exit the far side of the deer. Ive shot or watched 3 deer shot with that gun and load and not 1 of them exited the far side. On 2 of them the bullet was a lump under the skin on the far side that I cut out with my knife.

  • i noticed you are using a 150 grain. i have never had a 150 to exit, so i swaped to a 180 grain and will exit almost everytime. Great shot though.

  • I believe you. remington bullets are not known for their weight retention and bullet expansion.

  • @snow4bwake i use a 223 to take stags down that does the job to evan and its a shit load cheaper ammo

  • 7mm-08 is not flat shooting lol. its almost as bad as a 30-30

  • @bmmccas 7mm-08 shoots hella flat but it all depends on the gun i tryed my friends dads but yeah im getting a remmington 700 sps stainless in 7mm-08 and eventully a tikka t3 in 300wsm

  • @bmmccas your a dumbass. maybe you should learn something about cartridges before you talk shit on youtube. fucking idiot. 7mm-08 is a very flat shooting round

  • @bmmccas Have you tried shooting the LeverRevolution bullets through a .30-.30? I put a killing shot on a deer at 180 yds with one, and the only reason I had to follow up was because I didn't allow for wind drift. The bullet itself had no drop at all.

  • 1:33

  • Nice shot! That was a good clean kill. Where were you hunting?

  • Upstate NY

  • what a trophy deer. try for a buck next time

  • 1 word powned

  • I Never shoot a doe in the front shoulder.. always right below the ear.. wastes too much meat. but either way it will kill em dead.

  • You eat shoulder meat?

  • You eat head cheese?

  • Check out Poor thing.MOD and tell me that head shots are good. Not enough margin for error as one poor doe knew this year. Lung/heart shots, which are accessible through the shoulder, are the best way to assure a clean kill. And yes, I eat shoulder meat.

  • a deer can suffer just as much from a shoulder shot. the main reason people dont go straight for the head is because it is a smaller target. but a head shot can be just as affective or worse when you shoot them in the shoulder

  • instantly...............deader en a wedge... great shooting.

  • very nice shot, what grain bullet did you use?

  • remington 150 grain soft point corelokt

  • Nice kill!

  • nice shot.

i hate people who hunt but cant shoot and make the animal suffer for nothing. thank you

  • yea, that annoys me to...........hate people who cant shoot >.> get good on a target before you take the chance of wounding somthing and having it suffer........for nothing (because you probably wont find the damn thing) i also dont really care for people that hunt just for the rack :| Buck vs Doe of the same size.......i would take the doe......they taste better ;)

  • Shoulda killed da other one

  • 300 is the way to go , i have the 300 win mag in the Browning Bar, and i very seldom have to track a deer. wtg on yur new rifle. And that was a good shot on that deer.

  • Fucking good shot man, well placed.
