its engine is based off of the Chevy LS engine architecture, LS engine have been used in the corvettes since 1997 and the almighty C5-R and C6.R used 427ci variants. This cars is albeit smaller but the same aluminum design....

That 5.0L V8 CCGT engine is a copy of the Roush-Yates 5.0L Cammer that has been running in FIA for years, which is a bored 4.6 4V Modular.

actually they want to start Lemans racing with it. And its based on the older CCR model. It also has less HP than the road legal version because the race cars have restrictions. On the road car there is ofcourse no such restrictions.

I think the CCGT is a better overall car than the CCX but it would be slower top end because of the spoiler and race track gearing. It would kill a CCX on a track though. I did hear something about the world record for miles over the speed limit. I think the CCGT was going 247mph on a highway in Texas lol.
