How can Bush inherit the politics to his son and how can Clinton inherit the politics to his wife. This is no democracy. They can only build war not peace. The US-american people have to wake up and take to the streets and demonstrate against their politicians. No war!

lets see, jobs for Teachers...as in Teacher's Unions...jobs for construction workers, ie union workers....looking out for his campaign contributors...
Government spending stimulates only short-term economic growth. Government cannot create long-term economic growth.
Interest rates, the consumer price level, and wages are short-term factors affected by government spending.
Long-term factors are affected by tax rates... Unemployment is a long-term factor of the economy.
Firms plan for the long-term based on the costs of resources (labor is a resource). Current wages affect the future demand for labor. Tax incentives don't have that effect!
Glad I didn't watch this failure's speech. It's the same regurgitated Keynesian plans that produced the other pile of crap bill called the American Recovery Act. How has that recovery been? 28 straight months of 9% + unemployment and he only spent $830 billion on that plan. Expect more of the same since Obama is doubling down on stupid at the expense of the American taxpayers.
@NAGGERNUTZ ok, im going to assume you are a conservative. you realize republican congressman came up with 50% of this bill? are you saying its a bad thing that he is making jobs? are you implying that you would prefer a presidant that does nothing?
@benpetrone5 - No republican congressman came up with 50% of the bill or it would be all over every network news channel. It isn't. Assuming you're referring to Obama... he obviously isn't "making jobs". Unemployment has been over 9% for 23 months. Government doesn't "make jobs", the private sector does. I am implying that I would prefer having Charles Manson as president rather than Obama. Obama should go back on vacation and stay there until the 2012 elections.
@NAGGERNUTZ ooo but any republican would make millions of jobs by himself? of course obama is not making jobs, but as you said it private sector is doing it, which is obama is lending them a hand
@arcelot8 - Yes, any republican with a house and senate majority would put the economy back on track and drastically lower unemployment. Every time Obama gives a speech, the stock market sinks. Obviously the private sector has no confidence in Obama, or else hiring would have started by now. Unemployment has been over 9% for over 23 months now. I don't know how much more evidence you need to see that Obama's inexperience has caught up with him.

@NAGGERNUTZ Democrat and Republican mean nothing. What matters is policy. We need a principled leader who would fix the actual problems with our economy, the biggest of which is our fiat money Federal Reserve system, and one of such people is Dr. Ron Paul. We will not find salvation from Obama in a Mitt Romney or a Rick Perry, just as we did not find salvation from the monster that was George W. Bush in Obama.
OK so he made it clear ..He wants this Act passed NOW.. but has anyone else considered that financing it is to be based on a second bill that if not passed would make financing this bill unmanageable?.. so am I off or does this look a bit like a set-up to gain control of and leverage the next bill???

Isn't this the definition of insanity? Admitting that his policies have stalled the economy, but wanting to try the same things over again?

Washington needs to do a lot less, so the PEOPLE can do more.
